Permaculture project with lots of fun in north of Gothemborg, Sweden

  Hi, my name is Carmen. I am an artist, teacher, nature and design lover, mother of 3. I am living with my family on Orust an island north of Gothenborg. We have many interesting gardening projects, permaculture, mushroom farming, vegetables,... Smaller renovation things in and around the house. Planing to construct a pizza oven soon. Baking surdough bread every week. So I am sure there is something to learn for you. We are nature lovers, like going fishing or just kajaking. The sea is less then a km away, there are also beautiful lakes and a nice Cafe in the village less than a 5 min walk...// We are not a commerical farm, although I am starting a commerical mushroom farm. But this is very small scale and will not sell anything before spring and this is not the project I am looking for help.

  We are an Austrian family living in Sweden. We speek german, english, swedish, spanish, italien and a little bit turkish. We love international food, and can definitely show you around here, besides you helping us with some work around the house and gardening. You can learn about mushroom farming, at this point I grow 5 different kind in my outdoor garden and 2 indoor. You can learn about permaculture, sustainable renovation, building with clay/ biokol arts and design;) or yoga// just let me know what you are most interested in.

  Ajuda

  I would mainly love to have help with gardening, planting, harvesting, cutting and control grass, shifting stuff around, On the other hand I would also love to have some help with the children, like playing games or language exchange. Help in the kitchen would also be lovely. -preparing meals or doing the dishes as I have many side projects - like sourdough baking, kombucha brewing. We are only looking for help for non commercial projects. But I am happy to show you my mushroom projects and small scale commercial mushroom growing utilities.

  I am comfortable with a punch of foreign languages, but our kids speek mainly Swedish and German.

  Acomodação

  I have a small room with two beds as a little outdoor cabin, privat excess to a bathroom in the basement. Possibly one more room in the basement in case I have 3 guests or 2 persons wanted to have a separate room. But that does not work over longer periods as we use this room our selves quite frequently. We love good food and cook a lot, in summer mostly fresh stuff from our garden. We eat meet but our daughter is vegetarian with making exceptions if it's our own animals...(for now this is pig) You are welcome to share your knowledge or dishes if you want to.

  Yes we have some nice things to see like cave paintings, old wiking graves, beautiful beaches, woods full of mushrooms,. .. some museums. Halv an hour with bus....among others/// while we were living in Austria we used to climb regularly - would be fun to climb a bit more again- we have the equipment + a guide from our surrounding area… could be another fun thing to take on again…

  You absolutely need to tell us if you want to bring pets, then we can decides if this goes together with our two cats and neighbour dogs and horses.
