Hello,
We are a camping site located in the italian mountains at 1200 msl. The Valle Maira belongs to the cottian alps and is unique in Piemont. Our camping site includes 19 caravan pitches, lots of open space for tents, Bar-Restaurant, Mini-Market and 3 Apartments.
We are a german couple that run the well-known campground since 2019 as the former operator retired.
In 2023 we started to enroll with workaway and were very pleased with this new experience.
We want to host only single persons. No couples or families. No dogs / pets.
We will provide you with full pension (in general we prepare mountain-style food with piemontese, german and swiss recepies. Because it is sometimes asked: we do not offer vegetarian diet.
Your accommodation will be in a small mobile home (roulotte) without kitchen.
If you prefer you can also come with your own camper or your own tent! We provide free laundry and free WIFI.
We recommend providing your own health insurance cover.
We run a drug free policy, meaning we do not tolerate the use of illegal substances at our property or while working.

There will be enough time to interact with our guests as well as for exploring the outstanding mountain area and for outdoor activities like hiking, MTB, climbing, rafting (in Valle Stura). The Valle Maira has preserved its wild landscape and our remote life is detached from the comforts of the city. Similar things like freshly baked bread get here again a high appreciation.

We are looking for open minded people who would like to help us during the season (June-September).
We are asking for approx. 20-25 hours /week depending on workload.
We need help in housekeeping (the type you need on a campsite: cleaning the sanitary facilities, taking away the garbage)
and depending on the month as well as: weekly cleaning of the apartments, dishwashing, gardening (weeding and watering) and maybe even bar service.
In Italy this job description is called “tutto fare” (the person who can do everything).

You will stay in a small mobile home (roulotte). There is no bathroom included or opportunity for cooking!!
You will have to use the sanitary facilities reserved for the employees inside the main building or the facilities inside the campsite.

Having your own transport might be helpful as the campsite is in the mountain at 1250 msl near a small 60-soul-village. But the next bigger town (Dronero) is 45 Minutes by car away.
Public transportation only starts 4 km away from us (2-5 times/day). Our staff is very successfully in hitch-hiking as the locals are very friendly and helpful.
Please let us know the date (arrival-departure) when you would like to come to us. If you are not sure yet about exact dates, we need to know the period (month) and the duration of your stay (weeks).
