Cultural exchange with our family in the beautiful city of Malaga, Spain

  We are a friendly family of four living in the western part of Málaga, around 15 minutes from the city centre. We live in a detached house in a beautiful elevated area, surrounded by lovely views and very close to a pine forest. We really enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of our home while still being close to the city.
  
  We have all kinds of services nearby, such as supermarkets, a pharmacy, restaurants and other shops, around 10–15 minutes away on foot. As our house is slightly uphill, walking down is a little quicker and coming back takes a bit longer. There is also a bus stop around 10 minutes away on foot, and the nearest metro station is about a 30-minute walk away.
  
  We are a family of four with two children. My English is not very fluent, although my children speak English better than I do, so please don’t worry if you don’t speak Spanish. For us, the most important thing is being able to communicate, feel comfortable together and enjoy the experience.
  
  We love nature and spending time outdoors. We enjoy hiking, playing padel and skiing, and we also love our Mediterranean Sea, the beach, the weather and, of course, Mediterranean food and lifestyle.
  
  We also have Maya, our five-year-old Border Collie. She is very friendly, intelligent and obedient, although she can be protective of her home and territory. She loves playing with her ball and searching for things that we hide for her. She is very much part of our family.
  
  What we are really looking for is a genuine cultural exchange. We are not looking for someone to take care of our children or to do housework. We would simply love to meet someone from another country share experiences, learn about each other’s culture and give our children the opportunity to practise their English naturally.
  
  For this reason, we are especially looking for someone whose native language is English, so that English can become a natural part of everyday life at home.
  
  We would be happy to welcome someone who is friendly, respectful, independent and open-minded, and who enjoys sharing some moments with us while also having their own space and freedom.

  Malaga is the fifth city in Spain in number of inhabitants. It has a very pleasant climate since its coasts are bathed by the Mediterranean Sea and is protected from the cold and wind by its mountainous system.
  
  Its population strives for its Latin character (kind, extroverted, ....).
  
  Given its privileged location, you can enjoy both water sports and mountain (Caminito del Rey, ...).
  
  In the cultural field it presents a great offer, such as a multitude of museums (Museum of the painter Pablo Picasso, Pompidou Museum, ...), Cathedral, the Roman Theater, the Alcazaba, ...
  
  In the province of Malaga there are towns as beautiful and picturesque as Nerja, Mijas, ... It is also located a short distance from majestic cities such as Cordoba, Seville, Granada, ...
  
  Our home is located on the outskirts of the city. It is a new neighborhood, of young people, with access to bus or subway a few minutes walking; as well as public bicycles or electric scooters
  
  
  
  Málaga es la quinta ciudad de España en número de habitantes. Cuenta con un clima muy agradable dado que sus costas se encuentran bañadas por el Mar Mediterráneo y está progida del frío y viento por su sistema montañoso.
  
  Su población hace afán de su carácter latino (amable, extrovertida, ....).
  
  Dada su privilegiada ubicación, puedes disfrutar tanto de deportes acuáticos como de montaña (Caminito del Rey,...).
  
  En el ámbito cultural presenta una gran oferta, como por ejemplo multitud de museos (Museo del pintor Pablo Picasso, Museo Pompidou,...), Catedral , el Teatro Romano , la Alcazaba,....
  
  En la provincia de Málaga se encuentran pueblos tan bonitos y pintorescos como Nerja, Mijas,...Además se sitúa a poco distancia de magestuosas ciudades como Córdoba, Sevilla, Granada,...
  
  Nuestro hogar se encuentra el la periferia de la ciudad. Es un barrio de viviendas tranquilo pero con aceso a autobús o metro a escasos 10 mintos y 30 minutos caminando, respectivamente .

She is not just our dog; she is truly part of the family.
