  First of all, PLEASE carefully READ our profile and through the whole thing. Since we are on this platform, we learned that lots of people do not read. So why do we have to bother answering your email since you did not read our profile?!
  
  We are Non and First, a young couple running a beachfront reggae bar and bungalows located on the beautiful island of Koh Phayam in Ranong province in Thailand. We are the first reggae bar on the island and have been opening for over a decade. We have a long-standing history of being the number one live music, and reggae hotspot on Koh Phayam, with famous bands playing yearly.
  
  Our place consists of a bar and bungalows. There are 4 local staff working here (a carpenter, an electrician, a housekeeper and a bartender). We have a doggie named Taco, she's our fur daughter and has been known as the Customer Happiness Agent.
  
  Koh Phayam is more different than the rest of Thailand and stuff is limited here. We had experience with volunteers who didn't understand how things worked and couldn't stand the ways we built or fixed things (i.e. water system, electricity, tools). They expected it to be as good as what they have in their Western/European countries which is barely impossible here. We're saying this because we don't want this to happen again. Living on the beachfront isn't easy but we've been working hard and doing our best to restore as well as maintain our place by using what we have. We're simple and open-minded people but respect is the key point for everything.

  You will be given first-hand information about the lifestyle and environment of Koh Phayam. We will help you understand the circumstances. The cultures here will be varied and different as our neighbors are Thai, Burmese and Moken (sea gypsy), which will give you a more real local experience. You will also make friends and learn from guests who visit our place. We're happy to teach/show volunteers who are interested in making cocktails/mocktails.

  We are looking for respectful, flexible and multitasking volunteers who don't mind getting their hands dirty and who can help us restore our place and with our daily tasks. You must be 23 years old of age or older.
  
  If you are A DOG LOVER, energetic with common sense who knows how a numerous work runs without us explaining too much and you know what needs to be done without us repeating twice and are able to stay a minimum of 2 weeks (14 days), as well as an easy-going and not a picky eater, you are welcome at our place and we will have a good time together. We assure you will have plenty of time to enjoy your vacay!
  
  Roles and responsibilities will be varied;
  
  1. Helping with some basic constructions, renovations, nailing, woodworking, painting, some manual/labor work, DIY. Tools and instructions will be provided but you need to have basic knowledge of doing these.
  2. Cleaning the public areas and keeping the areas clean and tidy, making sure everything is in place.
  3. Creating a relaxed environment and good vibes.
  4. Helping with check-in/check-out and providing guests information. You need to have good interpersonal and interaction skills.
  5. Helping with live concerts/parties i.e. decoration, flyering, designing posters/banners, and preparing tickets.
  6. Looking after/taking care of Taco if needed.
  7. Gardening if needed.
  
  We are also happy to host volunteers who are photographers, who can DJ, make music, sing, play musical instruments, or who can offer guests activities such as yoga or meditation.
  
  Helping hours will be different but will be 5 hours per day, 5 days per week (this could be 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon or evening or 5 hours in the morning or afternoon) — depending on the situation. The volunteers will have 2 days off.
  
  We require volunteers to stay for two weeks (14 days). For those who want/plan to stay longer, we will see how you are on your first trial week and how things go. If things go well you can stay longer but this's also subject to availability. If not, you have to leave. Volunteers don't have access to the kitchen.

  We only reply to emails that follow the instructions we mentioned above!
  
  We've been receiving lots of emails including copy-and-paste/improper ones, that's the reason why our Reply Rate is low, we just haven't replied to those. We also have to manage a lot of people so for the shortlisted volunteers, please be informed that we’ll cut you off of our list if we haven’t heard anything/received your response within 7 days from the day we replied.
  
  Note: we understand you may need to plan things beforehand but we only consider applicants 2 weeks in advance because there were some volunteers who didn't show up as scheduled or canceled last minute. This makes the others who would like to come at the same time miss their opportunities and it's a waste of time for us to find new ones while we're tied up.

  Acomodação

  We provide a simple bungalow with a fan so you will have your own space. Bedsheets will be provided but you have to bring your towel. We have no A/C or hot shower.

  Koh Phayam is a laid-back island that consists of beautiful beaches, a relaxing atmosphere, and lots of nature, one that hasn’t been discovered by many tourists (yet). We are located on the most popular beach, Aow Yai Beach (Long Beach) where you can enjoy surfing if you come at the right time and even paddleboarding. The island offers a chilled-out and relaxing atmosphere. It's surrounded by the jungles which are home to monkeys and rare bird species such as the hornbills and the sea eagles. The island also has a lot to offer from island hopping, snorkeling, and fishing, to hiking. There are also other beaches/bays you can explore as well as restaurants and bars you can socialize.
  
  This’s a tropical island so the weather is hot and humid. You will expect to see mosquitoes, geckos, spiders, ants, lizards, snakes and some other wild animals on the island. If you're scared, this island isn't your ideal place.
  
  There is no car on the island, just scooters and bikes. And no 24/7 shops or big shops.
  
  The island isn't that big but not walkable unless you want to. So you will have to rent a scooter while you’re here which means you have to be able to ride and the rental costs around 150-300 THB/day not including gasoline.
  
  We don't have wifi. So you need to buy a sim card with the internet package. Please only choose TrueMove or AIS. Don't choose Dtac because the reception is bad for most parts of the island.
  
  And oh we are trying to go plastic-free and absolutely don't like a mess!
