I had a wonderful time staying at Heloise and Pierre-Yves residency. The work was fun and very interesting and all the meals were amazing! I shared a room with one of the other volunteers which was great and very comfortable. We did projects together in the very inspiring atmosphere. This was my first ever workaway and I couldn't have wished for

Had a wonderful time at Héloïse and Pierre-Yves's place.
They were great hosts who made me feel very welcomed from the moment I arrived. The food was delicious and I had my own cosy bedroom.
I enjoyed a lot working there ( we had to refurbish kitchen and bathroom's walls, we did some painting, some gardening)

Héloïse showed us how to do some cyanotype, we also play theatre for fun.
I feel so lucky for having meeting them. This place is so inspiring.

Quel séjour exceptionnel chez Héloïse et Pierre-Yves !
Ce sont des hôtes vraiment chaleureux, je me suis sentie la bienvenue dès mon arrivée. La nourriture était délicieuse, et j'ai eu la chance d'avoir ma propre chambre, j'étais sous les toits, c'était très cosy.
J'ai beaucoup aimé leur donner un coup de main. (nous avons rebouché à l'enduit les murs de la cuisine et de la salle de bain, puis peinture à la chaux, on a fait du jardinage).
J'ai eu des échanges très intéressants et une forte connexion avec mes hôtes et les autres volontaires.
Héloïse nous a montré comme faire du cyanotype et on a fait du théâtre pour le fun !
Je me sens tellement chanceuse de les avoir rencontrés, d'avoir pu passer du temps à qui est un lieu très inspirant.

Heloise and Pierre were perfect hosts who curated the perfect cultural exchange experience. Astrolabe summers are a wonderful collaboration of creatives of all ages and backgrounds. Heloise has a flat in Lyon, a short, cheap bus ride away from Thizy-les-Bourgs where she was so generous to let workawayers stay when arriving/leaving their stay,
… read more which was very convenient. We ate home cooked nutritious meals every night and the supermarket is a 5 minute walk for breakfast/lunch. I met so many great young people during my time here and it was just blissful. Astrolabe is what you need to refresh your creative spirit; eat good food, drink good wine, enjoy magical views of the french countryside, make art, and work with your hands. Oh our sweet. We spend lot of time there and it was just amazing - Summer and winter also. Heloise and Pier are very nice and good people, our French family from Lyon. There is lot of space for everything - painting, sculpturing, playing music, doing dresses, playing theather, gardening by permaculture, OR just switch of from daily city trables.

I had a great time at Heloise and Pierre-Yves's art residency and can recommend it to any artist who want a peaceful environment or to anyone who wants to spend some time in nature. The house is beautiful, has an intact period décor which is very inspiring and is conducive to creativity. There is plenty of space that let you choose between spaces
… read more to isolate yourself or hang out with other workawayers inside the house and in the garden. During my stay I went swimming to the like which is 10 min away by car (I hitchhiked). Although the house is in the nature, it is very easy to access with a bus from Lyon (2 hours ride). Heloise and Pierre Yves are very nice and make you feel very confortable from the very beginning. They want their project to be as open as it can be so everyone can contribute according to his ideas and desires. There is so much potential in this place and so much to be done for future concerts, art exhibitions, festivals.
