Kitty and Nick have been running a non-profit sculpture garden with live classical music concerts in the south of Spain.
We have recently decided to close and sell the sculpture garden despite that it is a superb place with spectacular views over the sea, to the marina below and along the coast! Time to move on!
We now have only occasional need for help until the property sells, with a few clean-up and maintenance jobs such as house-cleaning, painting, cutting grass, gardening, cleaning sculptures etc.
We have a nice, private apartment on the premises which comfortably suits 2 people. There's a double bed and single bed/sofa in the bedroom and a pull out sofa bed in the living room which has a kitchenette.
We'll cover the cost of your groceries but you'll cook for yourself/ves.

Great walking country, and there is a large pool.

We'll have only sporadic need for a helper as we are selling the property and have to keep it tidy, most likely only one week at a time. Jobs such as house-cleaning, window cleaning, cutting grass, gardening, pool cleaning, cleaning sculptures etc.
It is a 20 minute walk down to the marina and beach and about the same to the village of La Herradura where there are shops and many restaurants.
We do not entertain smokers!
No kids or pets please.
Help is 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Very flexible.

Acomodação
Volunteers have their own private accommodation away from the house with bathroom and kitchenette (fridge, 2 ring stovetop, microwave, toaster). The accommodation has its own beautiful terrace with spectacular views. Also wifi.
We ask volunteers to cook for themselves for which we provide a reasonable budget.

Punta de la Mona is a part of La Herradura (as in Horseshoe bay) which is part of the town of Almuñécar.
People who love art, the sea, sea views, the beach and sunshine will be very happy in this place.
If you play a musical instrument (esp. classical) this is the place for you!
We're a 20 minute walk down the hill to the beaches and the village where there are bars, restaurants and shops, including a supermarket.
There is a bus into the village and also into very pleasant town of Almuñécar, a short ride away, where there are shops for everything, loads of bars and an old town with typical Spanish qualities.
Whenever we go out we'll offer you a ride.

Wonderful walking and hiking. Nightlife is in the village of La Herradura where there are a few bars and restaurants. In some cases we might be available to pick you up but be prepared for the 30 minute walk up the hill back !
For winter months we recommend you have some kind of work or study project as evenings can be long.
Accommodation has wifi.
To go further afield (e.g. to the Alhambra) it's an easy bus to Granada from Almunecar or to the caves in Nerja.
Arrival is easy... Many buses stop in La Herrdura otherwise it's Almuñecar or Motril, from where we pick you up, usually taking you immediately to buy groceries.
The closest airport is Malaga, approx one hour away.
