  URGENT UPDATE JUNE: WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE MOTIVATED TO HELP BUILDING A SMALL WOOD HOUSE WITH EXCLUSIVELY RECYCLED AND LOCAL MATERIAL
  
  Ciao carə tuttə, 

  since 2012 we are developing a symbiosis between nature, land, human and animals in an organic agricultural site in a striking environment at the foot of Mount Inici (site of community importance), in Castellammare del Golfo in order to enhance functional diversity and biological fertility of the eco-system, as well as to create a new and shared perception of our environment through artistic strategies and collaboration.

  This development consists of different, parallel projects and approaches implementing as well as different people involved in them.


  
  Specifically in this state/period we are urgently looking for motivated heads and hands for the following work:
  A. self built natural building

  as mentioned in the very beginning we are building a small house in wood, only with local and recycelt material - we
  found a large resource of beautiful used material, coming from the restoration of a 400y old palace in Palermo.
  Every couple of weeks, our friend Benji brings in new (old) beams, doors, and window frames, and we sort it into
  categories. Over the last months we have been developing ways to work with it, which turned out to be challenging
  and extremely satisfying at the same time. Once the rusty nails and dirt is removed, we are able to cut them, and the
  quality of the material becomes visible. Based on the dimensions of the structural pieces we developed a building
  method, and started with the preparation and construction of a platform and cabin on the rocks, in the back of the
  property. For these last weeks of June we are looking for people to help out finishing the platform :) Over the
  summer we will take a brake, to continue in autumn. Get in touch if you have experience with woodworking /
  building or you are eager to learn :)
  
  B. communication, organization and structuring
  the different artistic-approaches
creative or at least creatively interested and socially oriented people who can
  imagine staying for a longer period of time. 
there should be enough time to read and feel the place as well as
  projects and above all to find out with which own resources, ideas and personality can enrich this symbiosis and
  ever growing artistic projects. 
The (further) development of communication to the outside, receiving people,
  recognizing missing components for the feasibility and implementability of the different projects is its own very
  special and important part of the big picture.
  
  Generally, the different activities consist of:
  - agricultuture (we have chickens, two donkeys, one horse, two dogs, hundreds of olive trees and in general a variation
  of indescribably beautiful flora and fauna)
  - self built natural building
  - generally living sustainably, as well as seeking new methods of environmentally conscious and community-oriented
  living (this involves constant research on how to manage water resources, limit waste production and integrate its
  disposal, and progressively design human settlement by improving, in a sustainable way, existing structures and
  introducing new natural constructions).
  - shared learning experiences, (artistic-) ideas and visions
  - hosting artists (or „just“ friends and other guests) and working on different artistic collaborations

  We are in the process of building the place so we have activities that require commitment from the people and also physical effort and previous experience in the following fields:

  Acomodação

  The accommodation option depends on how many are there at the time. There is a house that houses the communal kitchen and a bedroom with a double bed. There are also two caravans that can be used between summer and autumn. There are some products from the farm that can be used. There are no fixed common breakfast/lunch/evening meal times. This also means that you can cater for yourself (the money for this is reimbursed), but normally we always have lunch together and the rest is decided as it suits everyone best.
  There is no WIFI in these accommodations but in the surrounding/inside the artistic residence there is.

  The place itself is only reachable by car, you need 15min to the very beautiful sea or 30min to the city center, where you find anything you need. 
For this the place in itself is the peace and beauty in itself. It is very huge and you have the view on the mountain and the ocean and also you are able to start some very beautiful walking/trekking-routes. 
For sure there is the possibility for a pick-up at the station (Castellammare or Alcamo), also here is a car for (more or less) emergency situations as grocery shopping, picking up the water, etc. but it is necessary to have the driver’s license to be independent. 
In general it is even better if you to have a strong sense of initiative and independent mindset, also being capable of communal living for being able to adapt even for spontaneous conditions because every day is different here: some days you work alone and some days with a lot of different kind of people so you need to adapt to the situation, in general it’s important to be flexible. The farm is filled with the sounds of nature combined with the cacophony of people talking and music playing.

  
  Giordano is on the road a lot myself for his theatre, work and projects. He is an actor, director and producer. All this, is also located here on this previously described place at the foot of Mount Inici. It includes a recording, post-produce and music studio with a huge vinyl selection).
