Welcome to Our Beautiful Chaos in Sweden! 🤠🌾🐴
Hello and welcome to our little corner of Sweden! ❤️
We're Jenny and Pontus, a family of seven living on a farm in the beautiful countryside of western Sweden, surrounded by forests, lakes and nature.
With five children, 11 horses, four dogs, 35 chickens and more projects than we can count, life here is rarely quiet! There's always something happening, something that needs fixing or a new idea waiting to become reality. 😅
We're currently working on developing our farm into Humla Ranch, a Western inspired place where we hope to offer horseback adventures, pony experiences, cosy guest cabins and a welcoming countryside atmosphere.
It's a big dream, and we're slowly making it happen alongside our everyday family life.
🔨 How You Can Help
With two full time jobs, five children and all our animals, we could really use some extra hands!
Help around the house is especially appreciated! 🏡❤️
Keeping up with everything indoors is honestly where we struggle the most. We'd love someone who enjoys helping with cleaning, laundry, cooking, tidying up and keeping everyday life running a little smoother.
There's also plenty to do outside!
If you enjoy horses, we have 11 of them, including Quarter Horses, draft horses, Paint and Shetlandponies. Experienced riders are very welcome to help with exercising, groundwork, training and everyday horse care.
We also have lots of ongoing projects around the farm, from building fences and improving paddocks to painting, gardening and renovating. If you're handy with tools or have experience in carpentry, that's a wonderful bonus!
And of course, there's always the usual farm life with feeding animals, collecting eggs and occasionally chasing escaped chickens. 🐔😂
You don't need to know everything. We appreciate people who are willing to help, take initiative and enjoy being part of everyday farm life.
❤️ Meet Our Family
Jenny: That's me! I'm a full time farrier, passionate horsewoman and the one with a thousand ideas going on at once. I'm probably a little chaotic, but life is never boring around me! 😅
Pontus: My husband and complete opposite! He's calm, patient and practical. He works as a gym manager and personal trainer and somehow manages to keep up with all my crazy ideas.
Together we're raising our five wonderful children: Christiano (12), Kayden (7), Zoey (6), Jack (3) and little Lexie, born in May 2026.
Our home is full of laughter, energy, animals and the occasional chaos. The children are used to having people around and love meeting new friends from different countries.
🏡 Accommodation and Everyday Life
You'll have your own little cabin on the farm, giving you a private space to relax and unwind.
Meals and bathroom facilities are inside our family home, so you'll be sharing those spaces with us.
We provide three meals a day and accommodation in exchange for up to 25 hours of help per week, with two full days off.
We love sharing meals, stories and laughter, and we hope you'll feel like part of the family while you're here. Of course, we also respect everyone's need for privacy and time to themselves.
We usually eat meat and enjoy cooking together, so it's easiest if you're comfortable with our family meals.
Our farm is surrounded by beautiful Swedish nature, with forests and lakes nearby. Gothenburg is approximately one hour away by car.
🤠 Who We're Looking For
We're looking for friendly, positive and easygoing people who enjoy animals, children and countryside life.
Someone who takes initiative, isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and is happy to help wherever needed.
Experience with horses, carpentry or renovation is a big bonus, but a good attitude and willingness to help mean the most to us.
We ask that you speak and understand English well and are a non smoker.

We're not offering a luxury holiday or a perfectly organised farm. What we can offer is a genuine Swedish family, beautiful nature, plenty of animals, lots of laughter and a chance to experience real countryside life.
Some days are busy, others are slower, and things don't always go according to plan. But that's part of the charm!
If you enjoy animals, nature, family life and a little bit of chaos, we think you'll feel right at home here. ❤️

On your time off you could go visit Gothenburg that is not so far away. Otherwise Borås is a city a bit closer and there are plenty of shops and etc. if you want. We could also recommened a visit to the animalpark in Borås during summer season. :) The lake is also not so far away from the farm so a walk there in the Swedish forrest is also to recommened a hot day. :)

Jenny has a beautiful farmstay. Gorgeous and fun to ride horses, the cutest dogs and friendly kids (besides the usual tantrums). There are however a few things i found difficult, see "work" and "communication".
