  Summer 2022 PROJECTS: EARTHEN FLOOR & NATURAL PLASTERING – CARPENTRY – BEAUTIFYING & MAINTENANCE LAND – WEDDING PREP
  
  We are a growing community of people and animals living at Quinta Vale de Ulmeiro in the mountains in Central Portugal. Right now, it is Floris (42), Lotte (35) and Isa (6) living on the land and our dream is to live and work together with other people in a conscious, transparent and joyful way. We arrived in the area in 2016 and are owners of a beautiful piece of valley of around 2-hectare since 2019. We are active members of the Project, a spiritual community, and we love nature, creating innovative projects and meditation. We work partly online, have a garden and we are currently building houses and facilities on our land. We are also closely engaged in the growing local community of Benfeita. Isa attends the local parent-run educational project, Lotte owns a second-hand shop for the community and we live in a very lively valley with other families.
  
  In our spiritual path we have endeavoured on a journey to discover who we truly are beyond limiting ideas and to live in Love, as Love, in each and every moment. We want to be together with other people that have this passion as well and are open to share, be vulnerable and are open to give and receive feedback. This way of living is not always easy, as we understand that we are all deeply conditioned human beings with habits and patterns that are shaping our life. But when we truly come together beyond that and then live and work together, magical things happen!
  
  We are interested in living with people that want to explore and discover this with us while living in a communal setting with shared meals, conversations, contemplations, meditation, working together and much more that is yet to be discovered! We are in the beginning phase of making our beautiful piece of land suitable to live, with houses, communal facilities and gardens. The facilities are still basic (compost toilet, outside shower/kitchen and tents) but the valley is very cozy with lots of shady spots and a stream.
  We meditate every morning for an hour an welcome you to join us.
  
  As we are quite secluded in a valley it is helpful to know that our dirt track going there is not very suitable for normal cars and public transport is not stopping close by. If you have a car, you can either park and we pick you up or you can park nearby and take a 20 min walk to the land. It’s a beautiful walk on the old ‘caminho do xisto’ walking trail. If you want to come by public transportation, it’s a 40 min drive from the land, and we can pick you up for an extra fee.
  
  We don’t allow any use of drugs, smoking only in designated areas and the use of alcohol in moderation.
  
  On the weekend there is plenty to do in the area. There are beautiful walking trails and old xist villages to visit. There are often (hippie) markets, people’s kitchen or other events.

  Ajuda

  We have a big piece of land where we are building our house with natural materials. We have a garden and a lot of land to care for. For all of this we could use help. So if you have any skills in any of these areas and you feel drawn to try and live together with us, please write to us why you are interested to be with us.

  We have a Bell Tent, smaller tent a caravan and you can bring your own tent or small campervan (you probably don't want to use the camper van for daily trips as the track is not the best) . We have beautiful shady and quiet places.

  There's two villages within walking distance with cafes. There are many things organized in the local community. Markets, yoga, workshops, singing nights, mens and womens circles and many more things.

  We have a 4g connection on our land and usually works without any problems. We don't have an office space.

•

  We have plenty of space for campervans but the track here is usually seen as lets say adventurous. But many do it so if you want to know more, get in touch.

  When they are ok with our cats and dog and daughter (and us) then we can talk about it.
