We talked a lot about all kinds of interesting subjects; the global situation, history, politics, psychology, recycling, the Danish and the Czech system, pets etc. Anna has an impressive knowledge and is a reflective, positive and trustful person. On top of that she has great experiences when it comes to voluntary work in different projects and countries.

During my stay I helped with some little tasks like getting rid of weeds in the garden, cleaning windows, dishes or just some easy help around house. … read more surroundings of Bornholm. Birgitte also lent me a bike so I could discover the island and also we went to a small trips with her and her doggo Frida. I got to know her family, friends and neighbors and I felt very welcome and safe :) I felt like being part of danish community which was amazing. During my stay I had many meaningful conversations with Birgitte and it was really pleasure to be around her and get to know the daily life of this danish island:)

This was my first Workaway experience, and I had a wonderful time. The project was small, but I did a variety of tasks, such as painting, gardening, and cleaning rooms and so on.There were times when I worked together with her, and times when I worked alone. Cooking together was also really fun 🍳😊.

… read more places around Bornholm! Every place we visited was amazing, and I was able to see different sides of Bornholm. I also spent a lot of cozy time with her dog, Frida. She was so sweet.
My favorite time was when we had dinner together. Since I’ve been living in Denmark for over a year, we had many conversations about Denmark and Japan. Sometimes we even shared Japanese food.

I have had the honor and pleasure to be Nami's first workaway host for almost two weeks. She came to Bornholm with perfect timing to help me do all kinds of small projects in my house and garden after a busy summer - and she has been enthusiastic about any kind of job, that is garden work, cleaning, painting, shopping, cooking etc.

We have had very interesting conversations about danish and japanease way of living - and I have enjoyed to learn about her experiences and observations after she has spent more than a year in Denmark.
Nami is easygoing, curious and openminded - and on top of that she has brought speciel ingredients in order to cook me authentic fantastic japanese food.

I had a pleasure to stayed at BIrgitte place for two weeks this summer.It was my fourth summer on the beautiful island of Bornholm.I was looking for a new place,where i could be useful,happy and relaxed.Peaceful garden and settings near the seaside was also important.And all this i found thanks to Birgitte! Well, I thought I could write Jakub the best feedback ever - but since he is an outstanding and pro workawayer, lots of great things about his work, garden skills and pleasant personality have been said already. And they are all spot on, I can tell after Jakub has stayed at my place for two weeks making miracles in the garden. To me it has been
… read more better than winning the lottery, that he took action on my disorganized shed and ditto garden (not to mention the corner of horror), made strategic plans and worked hard in order to let the light back in and make it easier to maintain in the future.
On top of that it has been relaxed and natural to share my home with Jakub thanks to the other superpowers of his; connecting with people and places - and dogs - with respect, patience, understanding and not the least a really good sense of humor.
