  ¡Hola! Somos una pequeña familia que vive en Granada, en España. Sólo somos yo, mi marido y mi hijo de 2 años. Lo que necesitamos es una persona responsable, sociable, alegre y paciente que se quede con nuestro peque. Yo soy italiana y mi marido es estadounidense pero vivimos en Granada hace muchos años. En concreto, vivimos en la zona de Paseo del Salón que es una de las más céntricas de Granada completas de todos los servicios que se necesitan. También es un lugar donde puedes encontrar muchas actividades y talleres por hacer además de pasear por las calles del barrio que tiene un río muy bonito y gimnasios al aire libre donde normalmente la gente va a hacer deporte. En general, Granada es una ciudad espectacular que te va a encantar.
  
  Hi! We are a small family living in Granada, Spain. It's just me, my husband, and our 2-year-old son. What we’re looking for is a responsible, friendly, cheerful, and patient person to take care of our little one. I'm Italian and my husband is American, but we've been living in Granada for many years. Specifically, we live in the Paseo del Salón area, which is one of the most central neighborhoods in Granada, fully equipped with all the necessary services. It’s also a place where you can find many activities and workshops, and enjoy walking through the neighborhood, which has a beautiful river and outdoor gyms where people often go to exercise. Overall, Granada is a spectacular city that you’re going to love.

  Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado

  En nuestra familia se hablan diariamente tres idiomas: inglés, español e italiano así que el workawayer puede tener la posibilidad de practicar otros idiomas a parte del español y también poder conocer culturas diferentes y nosotros también aprender de la cultura del workawayer. Normalmente los fines de semana hacemos excursiones, vamos a pueblos de los alrededores o simplemente participamos en algunos eventos de la ciudad donde el workawayer es bienvenido a estar con nosotros por si le apetece. Por lo que se refiere a las actividades que el workawayer puede hacer fuera de su horario laboral, hay muchísima oferta de talleres actividades de deporte o creativas, conciertos, obras de teatro o exposiciones a los cuales que puede apuntarse. Además, Granada es una ciudad donde se encuentran personas de todo el mundo que normalmente son muy sociables y acogedoras así que el workawayer no debería de tener ningún problema a la hora de socializar con personas nuevas.
  
  In our family, three languages are spoken daily: English, Spanish, and Italian. So the workawayer will have the opportunity to practice not only Spanish but also other languages, as well as get to know different cultures — and we’re also excited to learn about the workawayer’s culture.
  On weekends, we usually go on excursions, visit nearby villages, or take part in local events — the workawayer is more than welcome to join us if they’d like.
  As for activities the workawayer can do outside of their working hours, there is a wide range of options: sports or creative workshops, concerts, plays, exhibitions, and more.
  Granada is a city where people from all over the world come together, and locals are generally very friendly and welcoming, so the workawayer should have no trouble meeting new people and socializing.

  Necesitamos a alguien que cuide de nuestro pequeño para entretenerlo, llevarlo al parque, hacer actividades divertidas con él (ej. manualidades) y darle de comer de vez en cuando si es necesario. Sería una ayuda a lo largo de la semana ya que en el fin de semana estamos los padres. El workawayer obviamente está incluido en todas las actividades de familia si le apetece participar. Por lo que se refiere a las tareas domésticas no hace falta que ayude ya que de esto nos encargamos yo y mi marido pero sí que mantenga su habitación limpia y limpie el baño después de la ducha. Por lo que se refiere al tiempo de ayuda con el peque nunca serán más de 15 horas semanales ya que consideramos que el workawayer tenga que tener tiempo para vivir la experiencia cultural y linguística plenamente. El horario sería algunos días por la mañana y algunos días por la tarde debido a nuestro horario de trabajo aunque esto puede ser flexibile y se puede acordar directamente con el workawayer.
  
  We need someone to take care of our little one — to entertain him, take him to the park, do fun activities with him (e.g. arts and crafts), and occasionally feed him if needed. It would be a helping hand throughout the week, as both parents are around during the weekends.The workawayer is, of course, welcome to join in all family activities if they feel like participating.As for household chores, there’s no need to help — my husband and I take care of that — though we do ask that you keep your room clean and to clean the bathroom whenever taking a shower.
  Regarding time spent helping with our son, it will never be more than 15 hours per week, as we believe the workawayer should have plenty of time to fully enjoy the cultural and linguistic experience.
  The schedule would involve some mornings and some afternoons, depending on our work hours, but it’s flexible and can be rearranged if necessary.

  Acomodação

  El alojamiento que ofrecemos es un piso de dos habitaciones, patio y baño compartido. Una habitación será exclusivamente para el uso del workawayer donde encontrará su armario, su escritorio y su cama. Pedimos que la habitación se mantenga limpia y ordenada. Por lo que se refiere a las comidas: normalmente hay tres comidas al día: desayuno, almuerzo y cena. Seguimos una alimentación variada con todos tipos de alimentos y también sin gluten dada la intolerancia de la que sufrimos. Todo lo que se prepara o todo lo que está en el frigo será para el uso del workawayer también aunque, en el caso en el que se siga un tipo de alimentación específica o estricta, será el mismo workawayer a proveer esos alimentos específicos que le hacen falta o quiere.
  
  The accommodation we offer is a two-bedroom apartment with a patio and a shared bathroom. One of the bedrooms will be exclusively for the workawayer’s use, and it includes a wardrobe, desk, and bed. We kindly ask that the room be kept clean and tidy.
  As for meals, we usually have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We follow a varied diet that includes all types of food, and also gluten-free options due to an intolerance in the family.
  Everything that is prepared or kept in the fridge is also available to the workawayer. However, if the workawayer follows a very specific or strict diet, they will need to provide any special foods they require themselves.
