  We are a family run and owned business. It's been in our family for over 45 years. Now one of Australia's leading professional sports and most successful Arabian endurance stables in Australia. It has become famous across the world for it's rich history and it's excellence of it's endurance horses. We have formed lasting professional relationships and friendships with leading trainers and breeders in the Arabian endurance horse industrial. these are relationships that we've maintained to this day and which result in our unique access to the best horses and services in the endurance industry across the world.
  
  Their will be lot's of opportunity's for riding/ training daily, You will enjoy everyday on our training tracks of rolling hills, stunning views of mountings and vineyards as well as ocean views. This is not a Thoroughbred stable and there is no mucking out stables. It is a completely different setting and you will enjoy every moment here and will be part of one of the family. We currently have 7 horses in training/ work. We also have some young stock, broodmares, colts and one stallion.
  
  
  We invite you to be a part of our team in this relax family orientated environment. We want to help you get involved with the Arabian horse though direct association with the most elite bloodstock in the world, providing direction and mentor-ship as you learn about this amazing horse.
  We welcome experienced horse riders, that are passionate about horses and working with them.
  
  You will be housed in the main house with the family with your own room and food will be provided. You will be expected to help with washing up, etc in the house.
  
  What you will learn here:
  
  You will learn about our way of endurance racing in Australia and be part of our team. Including preparing the horses for an up and coming race. You will learn about training, feeding and general show prep. There will be opportunity's to clip the horses during the summer.
  
  You will also learn more about breaking and training of young horses and preparing them for light training before they enter the racing scene. You might be able to enter the races and ride in some of Tasmania most beautiful locations depending on experience and length of stay (3 months minimum)
  
  There is loads more that you will learn here and maybe we could learn something from you. This is an exciting opportunity for you to come and stay at one of Australia's most prestigious stud farms. A real family home and We welcome all cultures to experience this wonderful opportunity!

  We are looking for happy, friendly volunteers, with a great attitude to life, who can ride horses and are willing to assist us with all aspects of our breeding and training stables in Australia. There is a range to suit everyone and we do not expect you to know everything but we have a great range of tasks for you!
  
  We require your help with the following:
  - Experienced horse riders
  - general care of horses
  - Training the endurance horses
  - General maintenance Farm/ Stable
  - Gardening and watering plants.
  - cleaning and tidying the communal areas of the riding centre and farmhouse.
  - preparing horses for rides, washing horses, clipping horses, preparing for races, coming along to the races with the team.
  - schooling young and competition horses,
  - lunging,
  - helping take out young new horses
  - Working independently
  - Breaking and training young horses (experience only in this area)
  - Ride in races at some stage or be a strapper

  We are situated on Joint titles with family on over a 400 Acres property.

  ACCOMMODATION:
  We have a bedroom for volunteers to stay in our house. This has a double bed and your own tv. Volunteers can also bring their own live-in vehicles and in the summer months volunteers can put up and stay in tents should they wish. Volunteers with their own live-in vehicle or tents use the house amenities.
  You share the bathroom and kitchen facilities in the main house with us.
  
  You are expected to keep both the inside and outside of your living space clean and tidy with a pleasant convivial atmosphere in all the communal living areas. There are power points to charge mobile phones and laptops,
  We have a NO smoking policy within our houses.
  
  We also provide a car for transport and sightseeing but fuel is not provided.

  We are situated in the stunning North East of Tasmania, Australia - 25 minutes from the main city of Launceston - 25 minutes from Scottsdale a medium size town and 30 Minutes from Bridport another Holiday town with stunning beaches. 5 Minutes from Lilydale Village and Lebrina Village. We are surrounded by magnification Vineyards and wineries along with Blue Berry Farms and many other attractions including the "World Class" Bridestowe Lavender farm 10 minutes away. There is plenty of opportunity's for you to site see!
  
  - Easy access to beaches and local towns.
  
  This is an incredibly beautiful and tranquil area. We have scenic horse riding, walking and fantastic surfing, with great night life in forestry and around the farm.
  As there are lots of opportunities to get on a horse, please make sure your travel insurance covers horse riding and farm work. All our riders wear riding helmets and they will be supplied. We take safety very serious, so please also be up front and honest with us when it comes to working on and around the horses :)
