  We are a warm and lively family of five: me, my husband, and our three wonderful children - a boy (6), a girl (5), and another little boy (9 months).
  
  We live in Bologna, a beautiful city in the north of Italy full of life and well connected to all other places. We’re looking for a kind, responsible, and serious au pair to help us mainly with school drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as some occasional childcare and light household tasks.
  
  Both of us work from home, so we’ll often be around, but we need someone who can confidently take care of the kids when we’re busy, help keep things running smoothly, and maybe lend a hand with simple cooking and tidying up.
  
  Our children are used to hearing and speaking English (they attend an international school), and they love playing, learning, and discovering new things.
  
  We can offer you a welcoming home, you will have your own small independent apartment consisting of two rooms and a big bathroom, in one of the best spots of the city. You’ll have the opportunity to live an authentic Italian cultural experience and the chance to enjoy beautiful Bologna in the wintertime. We truly believe hosting an au pair can be a rewarding experience for both sides, and we can’t wait to welcome you into our family!

  Living with our family will give you the chance to truly experience Italian life from the inside. You’ll discover the traditions, cuisine, and rhythm of everyday life in Bologna – a vibrant city known for its history, art, and delicious food.
  
  You’ll be part of our family moments, from enjoying homemade cuisine to celebrating Italian holidays. At the same time, you’ll have your own private space and plenty of time to yourself, as we also value moments together just as a family.
  
  You’ll have the opportunity to improve your Italian (if you wish), explore nearby cities like Firenze, Milano, Roma, Venezia, and so on, and share your own culture with us and the kids. We see hosting an au pair as a mutual exchange: we’ll teach you about our way of life, and we’re excited to learn about your culture, language, and traditions in return.

  We’re looking for an empathetic, reliable, and caring person who truly enjoys spending time with children. Your main role will be to:
  • Care for and play with our kids, speaking to them in English.
  • Handle school and activity drop-offs and pick-ups.
  • Take them on fun outings – to the park, for walks, or other activities.
  
  We’d also appreciate some help with light housekeeping and simple cooking to help keep family life running smoothly.

  You’ll have your own private apartment consisting of a bedroom, a big bathroom and another room with a kitchen in our spacious, newly (almost!) renovated home, located in a beautiful panoramic spot walking distance from the center of Bologna. The house is bright, comfortable, and well-connected, offering you both privacy and the chance to be part of our lively family life. We are still terminating the renovation works outside the house.

  In your free time, you can explore the beautiful streets of Bologna, enjoy its famous porticos, and visit museums, markets, and cafés. A bus stop is right in front of our house, with a direct connection to Bologna city center and the main train station, from where you can easily travel across Italy. City center is reachable with a 10’minutes walk. The airport is also nearby, offering plenty of flights to other European destinations and beyond – perfect for weekend trips.
  
  House rules: Safety is our top priority. We are a non-smoking household, and we ask that there is no drinking while working. We appreciate someone responsible, respectful, and committed to the well-being of our children.
