  My name is Alina, and I live on the beautiful island of Madeira. After five years of living as a digital nomad, I fell in love with this island and decided to make it my home.
  
  I’ve been refurbishing a traditional house, and it’s now almost ready! As I move into the final stages, I’d love some help in the garden over the next few months.
  
  The house is surrounded by lush greenery and is just 15 minutes by bus from Funchal. My dream is to restore the garden to its original charm and create a peaceful, natural space that matches the beauty of the surroundings.

  Madeira is a beautiful island with a great community to interact with! When you come, you will be considered as a friend, and I will be more than happy to make you feel at home, just like I would like to feel if I were being hosted! You are very welcome! You can enjoy the island in your free time, the beautiful beach, and nature hikes and get an amazing experience.

  The house has already been rebuilt, and it's now almost ready—just a few final touches left to make it truly shine. We’ve kept the traditional style but made it a comfortable and welcoming space to live and work.
  
  I still have lots of ideas for small improvements and would love to have someone here to help with the finishing touches. Most of the help will involve painting, restoring wooden features, and tidying up the garden and outdoor areas. Some small repairs and light landscaping might also be needed to refresh the space and make it even more beautiful. Experience with woodwork or gardening is a big plus, but curiosity and a willingness to learn are just as welcome.
  
  Most of the tasks for volunteers will be creative, detailed, and hands-on. I’d love to host someone enthusiastic who enjoys helping and also values time to explore and share good moments.
  
  You’ll be staying in a separate summer house on the property, with your own outdoor bathroom. It’s a simple but cosy space, perfect for someone who enjoys nature and peaceful surroundings. The main house is already functional, but we're still finishing up some areas inside and outside. I’m happy to host someone to help me part-time, around 5 days a week. If you'd prefer to do more hours at the start and then relax and enjoy the island towards the end of your stay, we can make that work too.
  
  Minimum stay: one week. I believe that a meaningful exchange takes time, and I’d love to build a good connection with whoever comes. Ideally, I’m looking for someone over 24 who enjoys nature and being outdoors.

  You will have your own private place. The location is on the East of Funchal, 2 minutes from the bus station. Food will not be provided, but it would be great to have dinner together some of the evenings.

  On your time off you can do social events, like concerts, theatres, festivals, or just enjoy the beach! There is a bus running all over the island, although it does not pass so often (every 20 minutes). This can take you to the Funchal downtown for shopping or just to have fun.
  
  The island is beautiful and its nature breathtaking, but consider it is a quieter place in the wintertime, so do not expect too many parties or stuff like that.
