Hello! We are a small family (mama and baby) living just outside of beautiful Pisac in the Sacred Valley of Peru. My name is Erica and my daughter is Aria.

I am a mother to my sweet two-year-old daughter, Aria, and we are creating a peaceful, connected home surrounded by nature, culture, and community. I work one-on-one with clients as a psycho-spiritual guide, supporting people through personal growth, transformation, and healing.

We love exploring, walking around town, visiting local markets, enjoying cafés, connecting with the community, and experiencing everything the Sacred Valley has to offer. Pisac is a magical place with incredible nature, culture, and many opportunities to explore.

Our home is located just outside of town — only a few minutes away by tuk-tuk (around 3 soles) or colectivo. It is a beautiful, comfortable space with room to share, relax, and experience life in this special part of Peru.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being around young children, is warm, responsible, patient, and excited about cultural exchange. And also is not on the technology often when with my child. We welcome people from different backgrounds and would love to share our experience of living in Pisac with someone who is interested in being part of our little community. We do not drink and prefer no alcohol in the house.

We may also be open to accepting pets, but this would need to be discussed beforehand depending on the animal and circumstances.

As a Canadian raising my daughter on the road for the past two years as a full-time pet and house sitter, I can share Canadian culture and traditions, English conversation practice, and insight into unconventional/nomadic family life. I am also deeply connected to the medicine of these lands, and can guide you in the right direction as far as those journeys go. Beyond that, you’ll get an immersive introduction to Andean and Peruvian culture through daily life in Pisac — local markets, Quechua traditions, and the town’s well-known expat and conscious-living community. This place is absolutely incredible to live in, and I'm sure you'll love it if you are resonating! It’s a genuine two-way exchange: I’ll share my world, and you’ll be immersed in this one.

I am looking for help primarily with my toddler, Aria. She is a happy, curious, active two-year-old who loves exploring, playing, reading, being outdoors, and connecting with people.

The help would be approximately 5 hours per day, 5 days per week (around 25 hours/week). We can be flexible with scheduling and would likely divide some of the hours into smaller blocks rather than having one long stretch, for example some time in the morning and some time in the afternoon.

The main focus is spending quality time with Aria:
    - Playing, reading, and engaging with her
    - Taking her for walks or exploring nearby areas
    - Helping with toddler routines and meals/snacks
    - Supporting her play and learning

We would also appreciate some light help related to daily family life, such as:
    - Preparing simple meals
    - Tidying up after toddler activities
    - Helping keep shared spaces organized and clean

We have a cleaner who comes weekly for deeper cleaning, so this is not a cleaning role.

In exchange, we offer a comfortable private bedroom, food support during your stay, weekly cleaning, and the opportunity to experience life in Pisac and the Sacred Valley. We would love to share local knowledge, introduce you to the area and community, and help you feel connected while you are here.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and wants a meaningful cultural exchange, not just accommodation.

Please note: I enjoy my daughter being exposed to all languages and so your native language is very welcome in our home. If your english level is low, that is ok! For conversation between us, we can use a translator.

    **Fine details:**
    - We ask for around *5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week*, leaving you with **2 full days off** to relax, explore, or do your own thing.
-We love creating a warm, family-style environment. Since you'll be living with us, my daughter will naturally enjoy spending time with you, so we hope you'll feel comfortable being part of family life rather than keeping completely to yourself. Of course, we also fully respect your personal space—your days off are your own, and if your door is closed, we'll always treat that as your private time.
-Working hours are generally between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, with the exact schedule varying from day to day depending on our plans and any special activities.

    Other notes:
-Our home is a non-smoking, alcohol-free space. From time to time, I sit with mapacho (a traditional ceremonial tobacco) as part of a personal ritual, which is always done outdoors. If you vape or smoke commercial cigarettes, we simply ask that these are kept outside and far away from the house and away from Aria. We like to minimize toxins we ingest wherever possible. A non-smoke is preferred.
-We keep fairly early hours, usually waking between 5:00–6:00 am and heading to bed between 7:30–8:30 pm. We appreciate a calm, peaceful home, especially during the evenings, and ask everyone to be mindful of noise during these hours.
-We have a wonderful community here in the Sacred Valley, and friends occasionally stop by to visit. You're also welcome to invite friends over. The only thing I ask is that you check with me beforehand if they'll be visiting while you're caring for Aria. -----She's at a very impressionable age, so it's important to me that I know and trust the people spending time around her and in our home. As we get to know each other and build trust, this will naturally become more relaxed.

The Space – Rinconada, Pisac, Sacred Valley
Home base is a beautiful adobe and wood house in Rinconada, a quiet residential road on the edge of Pisac — known locally as one of the gathering points for the international community here. You’re a short tuk-tuk ride (5 soles) or colectivo (3 soles) from the town center, with its markets, restaurants, and the wider Sacred Valley community of healers, creatives, and conscious families. There’s also a coffee shop and bakery less than a minute’s walk away, plus some other nearby shops. The house is within walking distance to some incredible river banks, great for meditating, journaling, or creative work.
The house is a spacious three-bedroom: two bedrooms upstairs, and one large bedroom downstairs for you. It’s got beautiful natural light, a window facing the front, a chest of drawers, and a comfortable single bed — a real room of your own. The Sacred Valley is cold when it's dark out, so please bring warm (wool) socks, a warm hat, or be prepared to buy them here.
The kitchen is fully equipped (oven, stovetop, blender, french press, everything you need to cook and live properly). The whole house has a warm, grounded feel with adobe and wood, nothing sterile about it. It sits right on the main road, so there’s some daytime traffic, but it’s peaceful at night.
I’m a psychospiritual guide, and there are times I may either be working from home or having clients come to the house (not sure yet), so you’d be living in a space that’s genuinely part of that world, not just adjacent to it.

  • Algo mais...

    Algo mais...

On days off, helpers can explore the Pisac ruins and markets, check out local cafes and community spots, take day trips to Cusco, hike in the surrounding mountains, or join local yoga/wellness classes. Pisac has an easy-to-access international community, so it’s simple to meet people. Getting around is easy too — tuk-tuks and colectivos pass by regularly, rental bikes/scooters are an option, and it’s about a 20 minute walk into town.
