Hello,
We are Carine and Fred and are a family of 7 : we have 5 children from 9 to 21.
We are living in an very beautiful place, in the mountains near Grenoble in the french alps.
It's a small village, with an amazing view on the summits around, a quiet place of nature where you can pratice many outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, climbing, paragliding, cycling, ...) but not too far from a big town either (40mins from Grenoble with the bus).
Our big children study in Grenoble (almost) everyday.
Our littlest child is homeschooled.
Carine works as a nurse (in Grenoble) some days a week, and Fred mainly works at home (3 days a week) .
Last years, we traveled around Europe (UK, Spain, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Danemark, France of course...) and we discovered with a lot of pleasure different cultures, way of lifes, landscapes, cities, ...
We like to meet people, share with them our experiences and differences.
We have made several home exchange.
After having built our home by ourselves, we will be happy to host people.
During last 3-4 years, we have host a lot of workawayers to help us and share with them our everyday's life

We mainly ask you to help us like an "Au Pair".
We are looking, if possible, for a long term stay, from end of august-september.
With our work agenda (Carine and I are often at home), we need you to take care of our littlest girl (9 yo) when we are not available for her : help her in school work, play with her, bring her to activities... .
We also ask you to give help in the house, cook, craft, spend time with the family, discuss and discover other culture and who you are, what you like.
Also sometime, you can work with us for some general maintenance in the house (gardening, chicken coop, paints...)
As our children are very autonomous, we like people who can take initiative.
For us, the most important is that you like (big) family life, share with our children and us!

We can offer a room in the house with us.
We would like to think that while you are here you become part of the family and eat with us.
If you wanted to cook, that would not be a problem : we like it ! It's one of the moment of the day for all the family to participate and share.
We cook mainly vegetables and organic food and one of our child is vegetarian.
You would have to use the family bathroom.
We can supply skis, bike, outdoor equipment...
We live in small village, but you can be in Grenoble within 40min by bus during the day
Closest airport are Lyon (1h30) and Geneva (1h45)
As we live in the mountains in a small ski resort, you may also discover our place with a lot of outdoor activities (cycling, hiking, paragliding, skiing, climbing, ...)
