Descrição
We are just about to start an officially registered NGO, focusing on permaculture and self-sustained eco-living. Other long term goals are reforestation, protection of the jungle and the development of nearby indigenous communities.
The 49 hectare land full of lush jungle, food produce, clear rivers, majestic wildlife and beautiful cascades offers much to explore and provides us with fruits & veggies to harvest.
For us (Sophia, Julia and Sau) a conscious way of living is very important and respected. So we try to practice regularly yoga, make fire circles, music and ocassionally cacao ceremonies.
Come and leave your footprint developing that amazing NGO project and community with us!Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado
You can learn about NGO's, jungle/farm life, cacao processing, harvest exotic fruits, see wildlife, learn from the mayan culture, protect the nature, improve your spanish, learn about community life and the wild local flora & fauna while you can have your daily showers in the river next door and explore the jungle via river in kayak.
Ajuda
We are currently more in need of physically hard workers because we need help with these specific tasks:
- constructing the new kitchen and bio-glampings
- building the first polyculture bed
Also very important:
- taking pictures with your professional camera
- capturing the land with your drone
- mapping out the permaculture area (1-2 hectares)
Apart from that, there are always daily tasks like
- preparing breakfast and lunch for all (3-10 humans)
- cleaning the communal areas
- general maintenance
- harvest fruits and veggies
- right now low priority but still: drawing signs
Tell us what your talents are and how you can help us with these tasks!Idiomas

Currently we accomodate in a jungle hut, in tents and hammocks.
We live in harmony with animals like spiders, snakes, scorpions, mosquitoes, but if you don't feel comfortable with that, it's better not to come.
If you bring your own camping gear, it's more probable that we can invite you here, as the capacity of the cabin dorm is limited.
It would be good to bring a headlamp with you!
You have free access to the kitchen and we try to provide enough food on working days. But please be aware that the land is more than 1 hour of a bumpy road away from the next supermarket. So we do grocery shopping every 2 weeks. Means, if you need something specific, please buy it before your arrival!
More than 50% of the food is from our own production.
Also, we wash our bodies in the river. Please bring a biodegradable soap and toothpaste with you!Algo mais...
We are located 1h20h with public transportation and 1h by car from Palenque. A touristy city rich of mayan culture and a world famous archeological site from the great mayan emperor Pakal. Also many other well known beautiful nature spots are within max. 2-3 hours traveling, like the famous riverside agua azul, Roberto barrios and Misol-Ha. Besides you can always spend your time here and enjoy the magical nature on our land and around.

The cabaña is situated in a magic place just in the middle of the jungle, next to the river for the best dives, from 1km to the "civilised" part of the land and surrounded by howler monkeys!
The work in the morning can be hard such as carrying heavy stuff for construction but also very diverse and fun… read more

We truly enjoyed having Clemence and Thomas in Tierra Prometida. They are calm, mindful, easy-going, joy-, respect- and peaceful beings. They like to be part of a community and are pro-active, when it comes to having a great time living together, e.g. making music together with their ukulele and bongos.
Both… read more
A short message is not enough to express our gratitude to Julia and Sau who really put a lot of efforts and energy to make you feel good and comfortable.

I took us 1,5hours to get there from Palenque by collectivo bus. The place is huge, its very beautiful, located in the middle of a jungle, disconnected from the outside world.
