The two of us had such a lovely time at Nik's place. Nik is a super chill host, has the nicest house and has cool projects around it where you can use and extend your gardening and homecrafting skills. She will always support you with the right tools and is a hands on woman herself.

It was a great first workaway experience.
Nicola is very welcoming and quickly puts you at ease. We were also able to meet her family, all of whom are adorable.
Nik's house and the area with the two beaches are lovely. We really liked to help her and visit the peninsula.

We had the most comfortable stay with her at her beautiful home in Portsea, a tiny paradise around 3 hours away from Melbourne city on public transport. Nik has the biggest heart and let 5 workawayers stay in her home at the same time! Our rooms were so comfy and welcoming. She was easy to be around, caring and down to earth, we liked that she

Our experience was working 8.30 to 1.30 on jobs around the house, although Nik is flexible in how you work your hours. We all took turns cooking group dinners and met her lovely friend and partner Pete. There are two perfect beaches in walking distance, and the bus to Sorrento (nearest town 5 mins away) runs every hour, with lots of cafes and restaurants to visit in your own time. World travellers, Jess and Parker are smart, savvy and skilled. I set them tasks to chop wood and dig out some difficult invasive weeds and they took to it with great enthusiasm and attitude. They have a great ability to work hard, and show initiative to complete a task to a high level. They did quite a few other tasks like washing down the deck

Nicola was a great host, she has a lovely home with a huge garden. We really enjoyed staying with her. We worked in the garden and also in the house, she has work for everybody. There are many walks nearby and also beautiful beaches. Thank you for hosting us we had a really good time :)

I stayed for 10 wonderful days. Nicola is a fantastic host. She is welcoming and shows you many attractions around the area. There are many nearby bush and seaside walks for you to explore. Alexandre and his cousin Marie were wonderful help. They helped get the house clean and the windows washed, set up the outdoor lights and also painting done in time for my daughter’s engagement party. Marie cooked a delicious lemon chicken and potato dinner one night. Alex was always happy and enthusiastic to help at any task. I am very grateful.

I, Tim a frozen Canadian senior spent a wonderful three weeks at Nicola's cottage in Portsea. At the time, she was living in Melbourne and coming out on weekends. She was always attentive to my needs regarding travel and accommodations. Nichola kept the fridge and pantry well stocked and cooked great meals on the weekends. We stayed in touch

Her cottage will always need some painting, landscaping, door to be repaired, faucet to stop dripping, trees to be pruned.............in short a part time handyman. If you are one of these, I high highly recommend this posting. Portsea is a hiker's and cyclist's paradise with the choice of an ocean or bay side beach ten minutes ride away. Loved having Ben and Jordanne; they were so happy and chatty, very hard working and self motivated. Clean and tidy and organised. Jordanne cooked scrumptious beetroot brownies that were incredible!
