This is a Yoga and Psychology centre from a German, Argentinian, Estonian and Spanish family, located in Tenerife South. In the Finca lives Monika (78, Yoga teacher), Raúl (83, Pianist), Devi (38, Psychologist and Yoga teacher), Hugo and Lua (4 and new born son and daughter of Devi), Bruno (8, black labrador/american terrier) and Mitzi (the "cat lady" of the Finca)
The Finca is about 2000 square meters big, with an organic garden which include some fruits and veggies, many palm trees and herbs, a 60 square meters Yoga hall, 3 bungalows to rent out for short term, and 2 private houses for the family.
The area it's around La Camella/La Sabinita/Arona, 15 minutes drive to the beach and 10 minutes drive to mountain hiking, with around 20-30 degrees temperatures at day time and 14 to 20 degrees at night. The finca it's a very green place, with some shadows from the trees, which means that arriving here after a warm day at the more touristic areas of Tenerife south it's very peaceful and quiet, like a little oasis.
Our family it's multicultural, very tolerant and open to receive new people interested in what we can offer and the way we live. We're vegetarian, we practice Yoga and meditation, love animals same way as people. But of course, we're still humans and have some moody days and common discussions that can be resolved by listening and understanding.
We talk English, Spanish and German and we like receiving people from different cultures, sharing with them our life style and open to other views and support. At the same time, the Finca is a very quiet place, we work in the morning and in the evening some days, but lunch time and afternoon we keep ourselves inside to rest and share with family as well as to rest with the "siesta" time!
There's a big "Patio" with a fire place that can be used when it gets chilli and enjoy the nice evenings watching the sky and listening to the nature around.
Our bungalows are constructed in a very rustic canary style, simple with natural materials and with all what is necessary (kitchen, toilet, shower, etc.), not luxury, but very cozy.
Looking forwards to meet you at the Finca in Tenerife south!Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado
Tenerife is on of the Canary Islands and they belong to Spain, but their location is very near to Africa and this makes a difference between the "canary Spanish" and the "mainland Spanish", specially also because they have also south american roots.
So the Canary culture is described as very familiar, they spend lots of time together with their big families, they get very good along with neighbours, as it would be part of the big family.
As we have very nice weather all over the year, staying indoor is very unusual, most of the free time it's spent at the beach, terraces, nature, etc. The locals like talking a lot, they meet just to talk and the voice volume is not specially low :-), but they don't do mess, they don't get drunk and fight, they meet to have a good time together, eating and drinking but not necessary alcohol.
One detail that can be seen as positive or negative for foreigners in the Canary Island is the little knowledge in other languages of many locals, but this doesn't mean that they won't try to understand you or communicate with you, many time you can find locals trying very hard to communicate with their little english skills mixing up Spanish and body language :-). From the other hand, you can find also some locals who feel insecure with their language skills and therefor don't seem to be friendly, but it's just an insecurity, don't take it personal! So you'll probably need to learn some basic words and then give them the chance to communicate with you thanks to your skills in Spanish.
The south of the island is very touristic, we're not in the centre of the tourisms, fortunately! But you can visit also the north of the island (aprox. 1 hour drive) to get into more local areas.
The food in the Canary island it's super! very tasty and at the same time healthy (just google "papas arrugadas con mojo", "gofio amasado", "queso blanco de cabra", "pescado canario", etc.). You can find many local places to eat "like at home". There are also farmer markets (nearest 10 minutes drive) with fruits, veggies, bread, goat cheese, pastry, etc. where you can get local ingredients to cook your own meals as well.Ajuda
We're happy to receive support with carpenter and construction work, painting and reforming work.

Our bungalows are constructed in a very rustic canary style, simple with natural materials and with all what is necessary (kitchen, toilet, shower, etc.), not luxury, but very cozy.
Depending on the amount of workawayers that are visiting us, you could share the bungalows with 1 or 2 of them, always with your own bedroom and sharing bathroom, kitchen and other facilities. It can happen that the whole bungalow is for you as well!
We don't provide the meals, you have your own kitchen full equip to prepare your daily meals.
We offer you accommodation in a full equip bungalow (kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc.) where you will have your own bedroom and depending on the time, you can enjoy it all for your self or share it with up to 2 more workaways.
We don't offer meals or ingredients for cooking, you can take from the garden what it's offering in that time of the year but the rest you nedd to get it from grocery or farm markets.Algo mais...
As we need the support of 15-20 hours per week from you, the time off you can go and enjoy all the nice beaches from the island, the nature by hiking, water-sports (surfing, windsurf, kitesurf, SUP, etc.), cycling, visiting other villages of the island, practicing Yoga, going to dance at terraces with locals, etc.
We recommend you to rent a car, as the buses in Tenerife are not very frequently and there're not many connections. But you can still move on public transport, prices are reasonable! There's a bus stop 8 minutes walk from the Finca that drives you near to the beach, to the grocery store (you can also walk, but the way back it's a hill...) and touristic area.Mais alguns detalhes
