  Hello!
  We are a friendly/easy going/open minded (all typical words for a profile I know, but it's true 😉) family of 4 who are relocating to the Austrian countryside in Carinthia (a small village 15 minutes from Villach and 15 minutes from lakes and Bike/Ski resorts)
  My husband (40) is a Video Game Director and I (38) am a stay at home mum of 2 amazing kids, aged 9 and 13.
  
  We would like someone who knows how to do some light carpentry, we have a large kitchen with some old 90's wooden cabinets and they need sanding down and varnishing. I am happy to help but have never done it before so would really appreciate someone with some great knowledge on how to do this properly 😀
  
  We also have a little garden and some help tidying it up would be greatly appreciated! Weeding, cleaning concrete tiles etc...
  
  The kitchen is the priority though :)
  
  So we hope to get someone to help maybe 4 hours a day (morning or afternoon, depending on the weather as we will need to do the cabinets outside).
  The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the lakes or mountains!
  
  Your room (pictures to come as we dont move in until July) will be on the ground floor, you will have a double bed (a day bed so it can be made a single or double, whichever you prefer), a TV and you will have a private bathroom on the same floor (toilet/bath with shower)
  
  You will be welcome to dinner with us each night (we are pretty simple cooks, typically we love chicken fajitas, pasta dishes, sausages, BBQ in summer a lot) but if you rather cook for yourselves you are of course welcome to do so and I will also provide room in the fridge for anything you also want to buy but please feel free to snacks/fruit/lunch items we have in the house.
  
  We are non smokers and have 2 cats that once they are used to you love a snuggle!
  
  You will need a car for the area or if you are travelling with a bicycle then that will be fine too, you can get to a train station within 15 minutes on the bike. This train station has trains running to and from Vienna etc..
  
  My husband works in Ljubljana and so if you fancy a day trip to Lale Bled on a day he is commuting you are welcome to jump in the car and he will drop you for the day and collect you in the late afternoon.
  
  We have been home swapping and hosting for years and can show you over 50 5star reviews that we are "completely normal and likable people" 😅 so even though we are new to the workaway kind of set up you can still feel confident in your choice with us.
  
  We are looking for someone to stay at least week to get the tasks done but after that you are welcome to stay a few more days, without any tasks, to explore the area even further if you want.
  
  We will have just moved in so please be a little patient with the organisation or the house :)
  
  We speak fluent English and Spanish and the children are fluent in German. If someone wants to also speak German to my husband and I that would be an awesome plus!

  We are English/Spanish speakers and are happy to help our workawayer learn these languages. There is endless hiking, biking and swimming in the summer and skiing in the winter!

  It's Vienna! You can shop till you drop, see amazing architecture, visit countless museums/Palaces and join plenty of clubs/social events. I don't think getting bored here is an option 😉

  There is parking at the side of the house for a small camper van and you are welcome to use the kitchen, bathroom and even the bedroom if you rather sleep inside.
