  We are a couple living happily in our rural surroundings. One of us is a gardener the other a keen DIYer. We are getting a little older and need help with both. The garden is on quite a slope as we are in the Black Mountains, we have tried to make it low maintenance but we do like to grow organic veg and we keep a few chickens. Most of the DIY projects are now maintenance ones as all the major renovation is complete

  We have four raised beds for growing vegetables as well as a polytunnel and a soft fruit area. The raised beds need some attention as does the asparagus bed which currently has more weeds than asparagus! Some help will be required maintaining the compost heaps. We try to be fully organic. Other tasks will depend on the time of year, maybe wood stacking, definitely tidying the large barn, and helping with the clutter that seems to appear in the cellar!

  There is no local public transport, we will be happy to take you to the shops and show you the local beauty spots and places of interest. We are in a small friendly hamlet, we are the only English, one couple are French the others all Breton. The nearest beach is about 40 minutes away, and we are not far from the Nantes - Brest canal. The nearest town is Gourin and one of our favourite places to visit is Concarneau
