My girlfriend and I had an incredible week with Steph, Matt, and their two wonderful children. They warmly welcomed us and supported us wherever possible. This was super helpful because we just arrived in New Zealand. We enjoyed our great conversations and in general we had a wonderful time. We were super happy to finally have some tasty home made
… read more food again and are grateful for everything they provided. We felt like we are part of the family.
We had various tasks and they are super flexible about it. In the end we did a lot of gardening, removing a tree, water blasting, painting a wooden deck and various house hold tasks. We were able to learn new things and it was a lot of fun.

Matt, Stefanie, Hannah and Lila are the most adorable persons you could imagine ! We had the greatest experience of workaway, with no exaggeration it was beyond all we could expect or dream about. We’ve spend 2 weeks in their lovely, living and outdoor house in our arrival in New Zealand that felt automatically like home and we came back the last
… read more week we were in the country, before we had to leave. The work was very pleasant as we could spend a lot of time outside, gardening or doing some wood work. We’ve also done some cleaning in the house which was very rewarding as we received a lot of gratefulness. We also shared a lot of great moment and conversation during the work (that we were sometimes doing together with them) or during the dinners. Lila and Hannah are also the most clever children we’ve met in our life and it was a real pleasure to discuss with them about all sort of subject. Matt and Stefanie are now a model for us as we learn a lot about how to manage a lovely family but also how to make life more sustainable (less plastics, more green and garden food !). We count ourselves incredibly lucky to have hosted Mārie and Clement. They are utterly delightful people who fitted easily into our household and were adored by our children. They are easygoing and flexible about our house routines and yet when it came to helping us with our varied and not always appealing chores, they worked with great energy and
… read more imagination. They both have a very positive outlook on life and want to make a genuine difference in the world. Imagine our happiness when this applied to helping us sort out our garden and home! Being engineers, they are practical and extremely capable. These guys are far and away above your average workawayers. We were only sad that they had to leave us at all as life with Mārie and Clement for company is wonderful! Catch them if you can!

Anne and Santi were really thoughtful, pleasant house guests and a lot of fun to spend time with. We really appreciated how kind they were to the children. Their help around the house was very much appreciated. They are very efficient and thorough. We highly recommend them as guests and workawayers for anyone. Hope your travels are fantastic.
