We are a young couple (both 27) living in beautiful eastfrisia. The eastfrisian islands are 30 km away and in summer definitely worth a trip . We bought an old farm house and are now starting to renovate. We are living here with Monty, our crazy dog and 3 chicken. Task are usually gardening, renovating , ... for 4-5 hours a day. It always depends on what you like:-) As Leon and me are working during week (I have flexible working hours, so am often there..), it may happen that you have to work on your own. Or you can work in the evening time together with us. Or you take days during the week off and help us more on busy weekends. We are very flexible, so it depends on what you like :-)
We provide bikes and the next bus stop is not far away. We could also give you a lift as we drive quite often to aurich (8kms away). A good englisch is a must for understanding tasks and good conversations. In 2015 we did one year of traveling through New Zealand and Thailand and have done lot of helpx (workaway) experiences. Please know that we are not offering long term stays and employment. We would love to find somebody social who would like to learn about our culture and maybe wants to go out for a beer or two.

So much going on currently! crazy! construction work started this week and I think it's a great time to join us.

The way of living in eastfrisia is always described as a very relaxed and social. We always have people visiting here and spending time together with great memories is very important. Our old farmhouse is a typical eastfrisian way of living.

The work was satisfying and I wasn't bored.
I did demolition mostly but they have all different types of jobs that they gave me as as options, so there is something for everyone.
They will make sure you will not work too much and I never lacked for food or a good talk.

Hidde was part of the family from the first moment and we really enjoyed his stay! He is a highly motivated helper with a lot of skills in renovating / working on houses. We were even worried that he is working too much... ;-)
