We are located in the Far North of the North Island, between Doubtless Bay and Kaitaia.
We have 3 acres of land, with 2 streams running though, a few established fruit trees and a small vegetable garden.
We have chickens and cats.
There is always something in the garden to be chopped, weeded or tidied up. It's never ending!
We are a friendly, sociable family of 5, and we would love you to come and be a part of it.
Our children are 17, 13 and 10.
All the family are involved in scouting.
We love exploring beaches, camping, and swimming/snorkelling.
The kids all love music. The oldest plays the ukulele and loves sailing. Our son is learning the bass and is looking forward to learning to fly and the youngest loves to sing and play netball. Our most favourite thing to do is travel (mum and kids)
Plenty of great beaches around here. The closest being Cable Bay, in Doubtless Bay, just a 10 minute drive away.
Matai Bay, our favourite camping spot is just 30 minutes away, and a couple of lovely lakes are all within a 15 minute drive from here.
90 mile Beach is also about 20 minutes away.
Our nearest town Kaitaia is a 15 minute drive.

We are looking for people that love to work outside mostly. Some mowing and weeding, tree chopping and clearing.

Your own room will be provided within the house. It's not a large room but has a queen bed in it.
Breakfast and dinner provided.
If you have any special food requirements please provide yourself also.

It's important to us that you get on well with children, and are non smokers.
Kaitaia has a cinema, library, indoor pools and shops.
You can do a bus tour to Cape Reinga which is fun and informative.
There is a bus to Kaitaia which caters for people getting to and from work so it leaves early and returns dinner time which anyone can use, although doesn't operate daily.

Hannah was very friendly, polite, caring, and helpful. We couldn't have asked to share our home with anyone better. Any task was not a problem and often used her own initiative. The kids enjoyed doing lots together including reading and playing games.

I stayed during 2 weeks in Rebecca's home and it was a real pleasure ! The kids are so funny and the work is not very hard (i was playing with them, I was gardening...). I had my own cosy room with a breakfast in the morning and a dinner.

Lynn was lovely, such a happy person to have around the house, and we loved trying her Korean meal she made for us.
She worked well with the tasks set, and looked after and played so well with the children.

Melanie was very polite and helpful whilst with us for a few days. The children really liked her and asked for days where she had gone. Shame she had to leave us early.

Meike unfortunately didn't stay for very long, but for the few days we spent together she was very helpful. A very polite, grateful and generous person, who genuinely cared for the children. Magdalena was wonderful with all the children. They all adored her, and we're sad when she left after 10 days. Nothing was too much trouble and her smile and enthusiasm was always present. Melanie and Stephan were brilliant with all 3 of my children. They fitted in so well with our family. They were both keen to help out in any way possible, and did a good job everytime.
