Hi we are Mike and Jette and live in the southern Alentejo on 2.7ha land in the middle of the Portuguese nature and are just rebuilding an old farmhouse. With us there is a bathing lake we start to create our garden according to the model of permaculture

We live in a small village community with Portuguese and have here a cultural association as well as several small towns in the area 20km for shopping it is 20km. There is a car and a 9 seat bus and 2 bicycles in our immediate vicinity there are many hiking trails for which the area is known here. Our cultural association makes various events such as flea market on Fridays we have an open stage for all those who like music.

We are looking for people who help us to save the old tree population. A lot of manual work has to be done, as there are some slopes. Then we have to create areas for our permaculture project. Our lake needs care as the water level varies throughout the year and the vegetation in the shore zone must be regulated. We are happy for everyone who want to help us
