  We have a small cottage in the mid Blue Mountains, walking distance to the train to see the many beautiful sites including the 3 Sisters. You can also easily get a train to the City of Sydney. I love music and play piano and cello and will be practising most days. My daughter has recently moved to the city but will still come and visit when she gets a chance. I am therefore looking for someone to mostly help with keeping our retriever occupied with playing ball , walks and cuddles when I am at work a 2-3 times a week. I very much enjoy cooking and love spicy food and trying new recipes from a variety of cultures so looking for someone who also eats a variety of foods. There are great walks close by if you want to keep fit and you will be given lots of time to explore the mountains.
  
  I would love to host non-smokers ( definitely no vapes either) who are happy to eat a variety of healthy meals including meat and seafood and lots of veggies as I see sharing meals as an important part of the experience. I respect that some travellers may be vegan but this is difficult for me as I really want to cook and share all types of foods together.
  
  There is a small inside room with single bed for individual travellers. The backyard has recently been landscaped with various sitting areas to read, have a cuppa and catch some sun. The outside cabin is set up as an art and meditation space.
  
  I am currently looking for early risers (8am) to take our retriever for a walk when I go to work. I have recently retired from teaching to pursue my interests in art and cello and work casually in hospitality so my hours at home can vary. Aloy is very good on the lead but you will need to have experience with large dogs to independently take her out.
  
  I am happy to just give one project per week to each of our workawayers to give time to explore the Blue Mountains. Over the coming months I will have some indoor jobs including repainting my daughter’s bedroom so confident painters would be great. There will also be some gardening of small patches and assisting with starting up a veggie garden. The expectation is around 20 hours spread out over the week. With this in mind I prefer experienced travellers who can organise themselves and help make my busy life a little easier in exchange for some great food and company. I really enjoy the sharing of cultures and travel stories. I also like everyone to move freely around the living areas in our house where I enjoy art and music so, sorry, needing a separate work space to operate a business or carry out study doesn’t really work in this space.
  
  Please consider this home like a welcoming place to stay. Our retriever is 8 years but acts like a puppy and loves to play and have endless cuddles and is often inside so a love of dogs is important.

  Great site seeing in the Blue Mountains. Patient host if wanting to practise English. Happy to share cultural recipes.

  Help with house tasks and dog sitting. Some maintenance around the house would be great help. Need to love animals as I have a large dog and lots of wild birds which can be hand fed.

  Small room inside for single traveller. 3 bedroom house with outside deck looking on to large backyard and reserve. There is a variety of beautiful birdlife who come to visit daily and like being hand fed. 25 minute walk to train station or 5 minute walk to bus stop for bus to Katoomba. Great multicultural home cooked meals.

  Visitors can access train by 25 minute walk or bus by 5 minute walk. Trains and buses to Katoomba tourist sites including 3 Sisters and various tours. Trains to City to see Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Sydney Harbour. Many festival activities run in the city during the Summer season. The Blue Mountains is also known for its art galleries and art exhibitions. Sydney Bondi Beach can be accessed via train and bus.
