Ciao! We're a happy family with two kids, aged 17 and 12, living in a beautiful, touristic area on the North-West seaside of Italy, close to Portofino, Genoa and the Five Lands. A great area for hiking, in addition to beaches and beautiful landscapes.
We love family life, spending time outdoors, sports music and good food (we pay attention to choose just the best ingredients and avoid industrial stuff).
Our kids are smart, happy, active, and speak good English thanks to our wonderful previous guests/helpers.
They both play piano and tennis, and attend a gym.
They are both very independent by now, so basically we're just looking for a friend to them, to help them practising their English. That's why in the next future we'll host just English native speakers, preferably from the UK, and just during July and August.
We live in Rapallo, a beautiful touristic seaside town on the Ligurian Riviera, very close to the city of Genoa. You could get in contact with several other foreigners living in this area, should you like it.
We love languages and meeting new people, that's why we're happy to grow our kids with the help of "big sisters" from abroad. We've been hosting girls mainly from the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, then thanks to Workaway we've been adding new nationalities and new experiences to our list! We keep on being in contact with several of them since they feel like family to us, after having shared so many good experiences.

Even if the requested tasks are simple, we're looking for a girl who truly loves interacting with younger people and is happy, chatty, proactive and responsible, as she will be part of our family for a while.
We'll need you to help us with our kids with their English practice (mainly conversations) and with the household.

We love being able to speak in English to the people we host, and are available to help them learning our own language, too
Acomodação
We live in Rapallo, a beautiful touristic town on the Ligurian Riviera, very close to the city of Genoa.
From where we live, you could easily go to several other cities (Milano, Torino, Pisa, Firenze just to do an example), which are just between 1,5 and 3 hours away by train.
We live in a modern apartment with a huge terrace and very nice view of the town and the sea, very close (5 minutes' walk) to shops, bus and train station, beaches and parks.
You would have your own little bedroom with the use of a bathroom in front of it.
We have good wi-fi internet connection at home. We also offer the hospitality of a true family, who will help you during your time here. We've been hosting several girls in the past years who could give you references about us.

This area is great for seaside and scenic landscapes, as our region (Liguria) is one of the most popular in Italy for holidays all year round! it is famous for hikes, as we have lots of wonderful paths with direct sea view and breathtaking scenery. The most well-known is of course The Five Lands area (Cinque Terre), just 45 minutes by trains from us, where you usually walk hearing every possible foreign languages spoken around you ;)
We are close to Portofino (20 minutes by bus) and its natural reserve area, and of course to the historical and fascinating city of Genoa, the home town to Cristopher Columbus and which was a very powerful town-state for over 500 years.
