Hannah stayed with us for almost two weeks. A nice meeting, very gentle. Hannah is calm and very discreet, always with a smile. She is always happy to help out and participate in the daily life.
She is at ease with children and has great skills in gymnastics. Our little budding gymnast will miss her very much.

What a great experience! I have only nice things to say about Yann, Annabelle, their girls, their beautiful home, and the village of Gedinne. My week at their home was my first WorkAway experience, and it was everything I could have hoped. I immediately felt comfortable with them in their home. … read more at the same time as me, I helped Yann to build the floor and walls of his tiny house. While we only worked for three days of the five days that I was here, I feel like I got to participate in Yann's project as much as I wanted to, without any pressure or restrictions. He is a great and patient teacher, and is always willing to explain (and re-explain) whatever you want to know more about. Both Yann and Annabelle are committed to learning English and it is obvious that they both really enjoy the cultural exchanges that come from inviting foreigners into their home. Aside from working, I had the freedom to visit beautiful areas in the region, both by foot and by bike. If you have the chance to stay with Yann and Annabelle, definitely take their advice regarding the sites to visit -- thanks to their suggestions for day-trips and their flexibility with schedules, I was able to really enjoy the Ardennes countryside! I want to thank you -- Yann, Annabelle, Lyla, Jane, and Ninon -- for the wonderful time I was able to spend with you, for your welcoming attitude, for your "c'est pas grave" approach to life, for Yann's calm and happy way of working, for the delicious food you offered, and for the girls' invitations to play one game after the next (I'll never forget the rules of Piou Piou!) Zakary a, entre autre, travaillé dans le jardin, récolté des graines et enfilé des têtes de tournesol :), il a aidé à terminer le pavage de l’allée et à construire un abri pour le bois, … toujours avec le sourire et une grande patience. Il s'adapte rapidement et est curieux de découvrir ou d'apprendre à faire de nouvelles choses.

J'ai trouvé le village absolument charmant et j'ai passé beaucoup de temps à me promener dans les environs. Je crois qu'à vélo, des coins très chouettes de la région sont également accessibles. J'ai passé du temps avec la famille mais je n'ai également jamais eu de problème à avoir accès à du temps en solitaire, ce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié.
Pour le travail, j'ai principalement travaillé dans le jardin ou avec Yann pour des rénovations. Je ne me suis jamais senti stressé et me suis toujours senti libre de d'adapter mon horaire. Je crois qu'il est très important pour eux de faire en sorte que les travailleurs apprécient le séjour et puisse profiter de la région.

… read more picturesque small village of Gedinne. OMG that nature, I was so stressed in my routine life in Amsterdam without knowing it, and just hiking through the huge forests and reading near the relaxing steam I realized it.
We had interesting conversations with Anna and Yann, played joyful games ( Train your memory if you want to at least try to beat Lyla ;) ) with the girls and ate delicious meals together (using the vegetables of their radiant garden).
I stayed only four days with them, but it was enough to realize the good people they are. Thank you so muchhhhhh!!!
