I was with Emili, Joana & Julia for seven weeks, and it was the best of my numerous experiences volunteering abroad. They were superb hosts, I felt like part of the family, but I also had plenty of time to myself, the perfect balance. The home and land is beautiful, as is the surrounding area. The food was excellent, almost all the vegetables being fresh and organic from the garden, and almost everything that wasn't from the garden was local produce.
The work was varied, some in the garden and greenhouse, some maintenance jobs, but we also built a tipi while I was there, did a sweat lodge, and built an observatory for a telescope!
Emili is very knowledgeable, and always seemed to have an interesting new project in mind. He was also flexible and very friendly and funny.

Estaba con Emili, Joana & Julia por seite semanas, y eran maravillosos, el mejor de mis experiencias como voluntario. Sentia como un miembre de familia, y tambien tenia bastante tiempo para mi propio mismo (leí un monton! :-)) La casa y el ambiente son muy bonitos, muy verde, con muchas montañas.
La comida era muy bueno, casi todas las verduras frescas y biologicas de la huerta, y la mayoria del resto era local y biologico.
El trabajo era variado, algo en la huerta y el in vernadero, unos trabajos de maintenimiento, pero durante mi tiempo alli, tambien montamos un tipi, hacemos un inipi, y construimos un observatorio para un telescopio!
Emili es muy informado, y me parecia como siempre tenia un nuevo proyecto interesante. Era flexible, simpático y gracioso.
Muy recomendable!

The area of Catalonia in which the house is situated is a beautiful places with lots of opportunities to explore, and I must say I was treated to some most delightful meals during my stay.
I would like to thank you all for making me feel so welcome, and for all you have taught me. I hope you all the best with the progression of you're home and you're lives. Good luck for the future.

I've been WorkAwaying with 7 different hosts over the last year. WorkAway has brought me great experiences. A big thanks to the website and everybody involved. To make it a better experience for future WorkAwayers I decided to write an honest Feedback for all 7 hosts.
Emili & Joana where my first WorkAway hosts. I had 2 amazing weeks, helping
… read more them to make their new home ready to live in. I also enjoyed to be around there daughter Julia, she was really cute!
They are kind, open-minded & hard working people. They treated me well, I also had my freedom. The food was great. The work was hard, but that had to do with the fact that the house had to be finished fast! We had fun as well. Some friends came to visit, we played music & played games!
Good luck with everything Emili, Joana & Julia! If I'm in the area, I'd love to come and see if Julia still recognizes me, hahaha! The house will probably be hard to recognize for me!! I'm curious how it's looking right now.
