We prefer to host volunteers for 4 weeks minimum stay
We live 4 miles from mullingar in the centre of Ireland. Easy access by bus and train .
There is myself and my 13yr old son, plus our dog jazz living here . we are trying to achieve a self-sustaining lifestyle .
We have a polytunnel, greenhouse , beehives, keep some hens and pigs , have a small woods. Ideally volunteers would be dog lovers and enjoy the outdoors .
We are focused on self sustainability, negative carbon footprint , conserving energy , reducing waste and a simple life :)

Dublin is 1 hour travel /galway 2 hours , we are 10 mins from bus and train stations and very central in the country of Ireland

Martin and Fiachra are the most wonderful hosts you can imagine. We stayed for almost a month at their place and we are so sad that we couldn't have stayed longer. We had a wonderful stay with Martin and Fiachra. Martin is an amazing host and Is kind, generous and easy to get along with. Fiachra is a cool little dude and they both made us feel very welcome. The work, food and accommodation was great. We're sad to leave and wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely recommend this workaway!

What an incredible stay at Martins' !! It was my first workaway experience and I could not hope better. The job is quite easy (4-5 hours per day) and the dogs are so gentle. Mullingar is a small town but well located (1h30 from Galway and 1h15 from Dublin) so you can visit a big part of the country by working here.
