This was my first workaway, and judging by it, hopefully not my last. I enjoyed learning to deal efficiently with problems, taking part in planning, decision making, and my time off exploring and in the city. This was my first Workaway adventure the last year ..:) :) :) I could not get better first experience and people ... Maarten is really easy going and funny Captain,we spend many good days working and smiling in the houseboat. Maarten also was my guitar teacher for the three Month spent with him and his friends.... … read more quiet...no pollution ...solar energy ...sweet animals ...and peace :) all of this only 20 minutes by bike from the Fantastic City of Amsterdam... I remember how nice was come back at the houseboat by bike during the night looking the stars reflected in the river :) :) :) .....

So lucky to run into Rhys. He stayed with me for 3 weeks in november helping me scraping and painting the hull of the boat. He is a nice, trustworthy, hardworking, fun loving guy and I'm sure to meet him again bringing her to sea. Cheers mate
