  Hi everyone!👋
  We are a family of 4 humans (Stéphanie 46 & Romain 47 + our two teen daughters Maéna 16 & Yanaëlle 14) and our 3 pets (Twix our 2 year-old Australian shepherd, Coco our three year-old cat and Pirouette our 7 year-old bunny 😊).
  
  We've been backpacking around the world for 20 years alone and with the girls since they were babies. Inspired by so many youth hostels and collaborative platforms like couchsurfing during our trips abroad, we'll be glad to start workaway experiences at home.
  Hosting people willing to share their time and skills in exchange for memorable moments among our family is really exciting.
  
  Actually, both teachers 10 minutes away from home, we live in a 200 inhabitant lovely and peaceful village at the heart of the region Burgundy Franche Comté. We bought a 100 year-old property with a big garden and a swimming-pool. Ten minutes away from the lovely city of Dole by car, we enjoy sunsets over the fields from our little paradise in our friendly socializing village.
  
  We've done the massive work inside and outside the house by ourselves for three years but now, we need a hand for the weekly maintenance and care so that we can have time and energy to finish the main construction after our working days. If people are skilled for gardening or anything like building or artwork etc, any task is possible. We're open to any offer that will please you and us.
  
  Plus, we'd love to have foreigners around so that our daughters can keep on opening up their minds to the world of travellers. A few more years and they could become workawayers too! 😉We can communicate in French, English or Spanish at home. Helping out the girls to improve their language skills would be great too of course!
  On our way home after family backpacking in India, we are ready to take care of our home.
  We are looking forward to meeting you for some support on this family project. 😊

  We are either painters or musicians in the house, two of us play drama too. We can develop our mutual skills in meditation, running, playing the piano, singing. We eat home made meals most of the time so you can experience French food. We can share you our knowledge of travelling to so many countries. Of course, you can learn French as it is our mother tongue. We can teach you basics for DIY if you're ok to learn easy tasks about how to manage a house refurbishment, gardening, making jams etc depending on our free time since some weeks can be really busy with homework from school. French culture for sure if you have interest in it; you can also enjoy silence and retreat Everyone will respect each others' needs and personality. Adaptation is the key to success in living all together. Our nickname The Sunshine Family was given by people hosting us during our trips abroad. We're really grateful of them and hope to go on this way. 🕊

  Ajuda

  They are so many tasks in our list to do that we can arrange your 4 to 5 hours of daily tasks according to your wishes : either you can do one task extensively every day or choose variety. For instance, house cleaning, playing with or walking the dog in the nearby forest, cleaning the stone walls of the house, painting blinds, tiles, windows, growing vegetables, watering, preparing the pool, helping out for the cellar reparation, hosting campers, serving breakfast if campers are coming in tents or vans during your stay ... We'll plan this together before or at your arrival. We are flexible about your organisation as long as our host is respectful of our family life (no noise at night for instance since we wake up at 6.30 am in week days). This workaway position is aimed at animal loving quite lonely people during daytime. We're at a stones' throw from Dijon and Besançon by train (5 euros) and we can drop you at the station for your visit of these amazing big cities for your two days off a week. We'd like to start by one week with you. Depending on how we get on and on our personal schedules during the year, we can extend your stay. You'll have a personal room with wifi next to our bedrooms like a family member, relaxful and quiet viewing the lovely bamboo areas outside.

  We can develop your skills in French and English (Stéphanie, the mother, is an English teacher in high-school and at university in the psychology department). We'd love you to speak English or Spanish to improve our travelling daughters' skills at languages. 😊

  Acomodação

  A private bedroom next to ours on the first floor and a shared bathroom with the family members. It is brand new and amazing so we expect workaway hosts to be cautious of our property meant to become a guest house in the future. 🙏
  We'll provide food for you to share with us during the meals or by yourself when we'll be away. Mind you, you won't be supposed to help yourself in the supplies of our fridge and cupboard (according to few past experiences of inconsiderate travellers 😉). We'll make sure you'll enjoy your stay and will find a home away from home like we appreciate ourselves when we are away.

  We can drop you in Dole or Auxonne 10 minutes away by car easily when we go there on a regular basis, lent you a bike for a nice ride around. Of course, we can pick you up on your arrival in Dole or Auxonne train station. You can arrange a blabla car drop nearby too. (10 kms maximum).
  We expect girls mainly to begin with, any age is ok. Non smoker. Being a native English or Spanish speaker would be marvelous but anybody is welcome for sure. 😊

  Our wifi connexion is ok for browsing anytime in the guest bedroom. Daytime will be quiet in the kitchen or lounge too.
