  Interested in staying in a beautiful and ancient English Farm House? I am an educated and energetic Mum of one who lives and breathes my amazing farm! I run the family business with my parents who live very close by. We always have had people coming from different cultures to stay and help so we are very comfortable with welcoming people from all over the world and really take an interest in different cultures. The community around us is very rural, beautiful and friendly. We have fields on every side and a mountain facing us called the Cats Back which sits on the edge of the Black Mountain Range that goes on into Wales. If you like to walk, then this place is for you! This place has so much to offer anyone who wants to come and pitch in with all sorts and roam free in the mountains!
  
  The Farm is dated back to the early 1500's and is on its own spot of land in my definition of heaven. We have so much to do and to get done though! We would hope that an Au Pair would be happy to engage with my little one Ernest who is currently 16 months. He is a very playful and enjoyable personality and loves to be outside pottering about in the farm yards feeding the chickens! We would also really appreciate some help with cooking and light housework to keep the show on the road!
  
  We have one En-suite bedroom available but are happy to accept couples or friends who don't mind sharing a bed. My name is Grace, my parents are Ken and Ruth and my 1 year old is Ernest and he is awesome! Because of the nature of childcare we may ask for DBS check or for a trial period before committing to a longer stay.
  
  If you are interested when please get in touch with the dates you are interested in coming and any flexibility. I would also love to know a bit about you and why you are a good fit for us so please tell us a bit about you! It will also help me be prepared for any additional activities that I think you would enjoy.

  Be part of an almost timeless community. There have been surprising amounts of civilisations and activity in these Welsh/English borders since the stone age. The house is ancient and pertains to a way of life from another age. We do have some creature comforts now, however, in many ways we still live a fairly simple life. We are friendly and warm and grateful for any enthusiastic help! We also enjoy playing music and singing so you will find a guitar here that you can play! You are also welcome to come to community events with us if you are interested :)
  
  We also run a holiday cottage business from the farm that while you will not be directly involved in creates a lovely atmosphere about the place. There is lots of things that you might want to explore while you are here. The Welsh borderlands have a rich history and there are many castle ruins dotted around that hark back to days of Warring English and Welsh. The small Market Town of Hay-On-Wye is also a must visit. Known as the town of books and it has many curiosities and rambling second hand bookshops.
  
  There is really good walking all around including the famous Offs Dyke and The Black Mountains are on our doorstep. We have walking maps that you can use while you are with us and we love a walk ourselves!

  Childcare: I have a beautiful toddler who loves being outside and getting involved. He will often be coming right along with us as we go about our day but having an extra pair of hands would really allow me to get on with some more involved work that I need to do. If a longer stay is planned and a trial period is happily completed then we would be happy for our work awayer to take on more responsibility with Ernest but we can feel our way on this!
  House help: some help with cooking and clean up after meals plus some cleaning round the house is always part of any day. We will endeavour to make it a jolly time whatever we are doing :) Other activities you can get involved in can always be discussed if you are interested. There is scope for all sorts of endeavours!
  
  There is lots of opportunity at our house for projects so if while planning or while you are with us something takes your fancy then we are happy for you to use our space and resources to get creative! We ask for 4/5 hours a day Monday - Friday. Weekends you are welcome to take time for yourself or continue to get involved with the flow of family life. We will also chat to you at the time incase we can offer you a lift somewhere you are interested in.

  There is one En-Suite bedroom available in the farm house. We hope to share Lunch and Dinner with you but we ask that you take responsibility for your own breakfast. We will keep a shelf free for you in the fridge for your own bits and we can meal plan together so that you are comfortable. We try and only eat high welfare meat and eggs but love vegetarian and vegan food too and are happy to make room for your preferences.

  We are very rural so there is no public transport to our house. We will always offer to drive you about the place when we can but come prepared to be in the countryside! When you have time off you are welcome to use our house as your home. We have an office with a desk you can use, you can work on any of your own projects you have started, or cosy ip and read in our sitting room. Spring, Summer and Autumn we encourage you to get out and about on foot to explore! We also have two great pubs in walking distance!

  We have good fibre to the property so enough to cope with most peoples work demands no problem. We also have a separate office that is not used too much and you can set up on the spare desk for the time you are with us.

  We have got quite a good space for work awayers bringing their own accommodation on wheels. In this scenario we are also able to host families.

  up to 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Less hours is negotiable with digital nomads if they are happy to contribute to food costs.
