Description
I'm a female, solo traveller. I love travelling, learning about new cultures and learning languages. I have previously lived in Thailand and France and have done Workaways in many countries including Italy, Nepal and New Zealand.
I'm a DELTA qualified English teacher who is taking a break to explore the world and appreciate living in the moment.
I am very open-minded and enjoy working with people of all ages and from all backgrounds. I'm kind, conscientious and thoughtful.
I'm hoping to find families who I can live and share everyday life with, learn new languages with and immerse myself in the local culture with.

I have taught English as a foreign language for thirteen years, both in the UK and abroad, teaching all ages. I love to travel and learn about different cultures and languages. I like to visit one country at a time, immersing myself in daily life in order to truly learn about a culture and give me the best opportunity of practising the language. I am an Airbnb superhost, taking pride in providing guests with a warm welcome and a clean and comfortable space to stay in.
I love being outdoors and enjoy nature. I often help friends and family in their gardens when I visit them; unfortunately I live in a flat so don't have my own!

I had a wonderful two weeks with Michel and Lavinia and wish I could've stayed longer. They have a beautiful home in the middle of the countryside. I was made to feel so welcome and they cooked delicious food!

C'était notre premiere experience avec workaway. nous avons acceuilli Joanna comme un membre de la famille. Joanna a été tres disponible pour parler anglais avec nous tous a la maison. cela a été une chouette experience avec beaucoup d'échanges. nous recommandons vivement Joanna a d'autres hotes.

I spent three weeks with this family and I just wish I could have stayed for longer - from the moment I arrived they were so kind and welcoming and I loved spending time with them. They are a traditional Italian family who cook amazing food every day - I loved mealtimes with them!!

Johanna stayed with us for a week and bit more. She helped us in our farm and house. She is very hard working and is up to do anything you will ask or needs to be done. Having her at our house was a very helpful. She was also very easy going and easy to talk with .I can definitely recommend you to host her.
