  Description

  My name is Veerle, I am a single mom of two young adults and am living on the outskirts of Gent in Belgium. Starting end of Sep, both of the boys are starting college and will be leaving.
  Gent city center is 10 minutes by bike (bike can be provided). You can find more info about Gent here:
  When you stay at my house, you will have your own room and bathroom and access to the garden, which is rather wild-looking, but that is how I like it.
  Public transport is excellent in Belgium. There is a train station, bus and tram stops close by and you can choose to visit the coast, Brussels, Antwerp,...

  Aide

  I will cook on most days, most often vegetarian, but this is not rigid. I might ask you for help with prepping food, groceries, cleaning, gardening. When I have time, I will work alongside you to clean and garden. If you have DIY skills, I might have some projects for you. I expect to need maximum 3 hours of your time daily, weekends free to explore. I speak French, English and Dutch, very basic Italian, I understand German.
  I prefer a minimum stay of two weeks; this is negotiable. Couples also welcome.

  Hébergement

  Separate room with double bed. You will have your own bathroom. Access to the garden from your room.
  I will cook most nights - may ask for help with grocery shopping, food prep and cooking. Some nights might invite you to cook something yourself. If you want to have meals together, lovely. If you would rater have alone time, also fine.
  There is a drumkit in your room, so possibility to play the drums during the daytime, a piano and guitar (leftie) in the living room

  Spike (5 ans)

  We have a white cat named Spike. Like most cats, he likes to eat and sleep and is particular about who he allows to come near him. I may ask you to feed him mornings and/or evenings when I am away myself
