Hi I'm Danielle and new to traveling the world! Cooking and tasting new foods are among my favorite activities, and a good cup of coffee is the quickest way to my heart. I enjoy spending time outdoors in any capacity, whether it's snowboarding, camping, yoga, hiking, surfing, reading, watching the sunrise or sunset—I am most at peace when I'm outside.

One of my biggest fears is being complacent in life. Growing up in New England in an environment that’s hard to leave, its been so easy to stay in one place and I recently felt myself getting too comfortable with what I was doing. I’m 26 years old and this winter I decided to move out of state for the first time and work at a ski resort. There I was able to meet new people, work in a new environment and fulfill my dream of living somewhere that I was able to snowboard almost ever day. This experience completely opened my mind and significantly increased my desire to travel and explore more of the world.

Currently working remotely and traveling with my boyfriend Peter, I've embraced the backpacking lifestyle and am loving every challenge and new experience it brings. I joined Workaway as a way to further enrich my travels and deepen my understanding of the world and those around me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm a registered nurse and have worked in this rewarding field for 4 years and counting. When I was younger I worked for my dads landscaping and plow company so I'm comfortable with any type of outdoor/yard work. I also have many years of experience working in the food industry and hospitality, so helping people and creating a positive experience are things that I genuinely enjoy.

In the past, I have spent my time volunteering at my local food pantry and served with United Way on various community projects. I've also volunteered on a few different farms where I learned about sustainable living and agriculture, as well as deepened my love for animals and caring for them.
