Hi there, we are Ruggero and Elvira, an Italian couple, 28 and 27 year old respectively. Between us Ruggero has a master’s degree in biology and nutrition, while Elvira has graduated in Medicine and currently works in an emergency room. More often than not we're a bundle of laughs, able to ramble on together at times, as well as be reserved at others. We both share the love for music, stars, graphic novels and nature.

As for Ruggero in recent years, and partly due to a neurological condition (no worries, a dysautonomia, nothing critical or life-threatening), an intense interest for life in its purest essence has arisen: to emerse oneself in deep nature, to acquire new manual skills yet not practiced, and to get to know people with who simple yet real bonds can be forged. Elvira has developed the same inclination during the course of her university studies, which she has shared with an international community of students.

We both come from Sicily, and its agricultural context has provided us with a natural inclination for botany and animal care. We also share interests in yoga, meditation, sports as a mean of self-care and sustainable diet and life.
We may not be perfectly provided with manual skills, but this is the reason we want to start our Workaway trip, we’re thriving to learn, go out of our way to be helpful and challenge ourselves in unknown grounds which we want to make our own.

We are definitely travelers, and the desire to start this new journey has deepened in Ruggero after he met his girlfriend and love of his life. Together we’ve decided we want to free ourselves from the invisible chains of this overly modern world to look for a simpler life, and to discover together the dimension of our own spirituality.

We both graduated at the same high school (classical Lyceum), Ruggero then specialized in biology and nutrition, and applied his degree in the management of diets and sports for his clients.
Elvira has used her medical degree in patient first care and emergency care in different regions of Italy.
We’re both equipped with a drivers license and can swiftly drive a car
We’re both good at cooking, house maintenance, gardening and pet-sitting
Ruggero is equipped with basic gear for professional photography, Elvira plays the piano and the ukulele
We’d like to dig our manual skills
