This is home to a Hare Krishna community drawing from the timeless wisdom of bhakti yoga, or devotional love. We are dedicated to offering practical ways to experience spirituality, while living in harmony with nature. Service, compassion and non-violence are some of the values that guide our transformative lifestyle. Ultimately, we aim to become a place where both seekers and adventurers can join in a global spiritual revolution.
We are Hanna & Thibaut and we are running a permaculture project in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes.
Thibaut is a 35 years old biologist and a secondary school science teacher specialized permaculture & self-sufficient community farming. Hanna is a 30 years old Ayurvedic practitioner and specialized in medicinal and wild plants and craftmanships.

Then you've got to come and try the experience!
Our project is called Premaculture, which is a mix of permaculture and bhakti-yoga. It's a new form of ecological agriculture rooted in Vedic principles such as compassion, service, self-awareness, meditation and respect for all living beings. The project started 5years ago and is part of the Hare Krishna community in the Belgian Ardennes. It is a spiritual community of around a 100people (from dozens of different countries) who live according to Vedic principles (as set out above) and is aiming to reach self-sufficiency in the upcoming years. Here we practice a way of life in harmony with nature and in reconnection with our true self. We are an "asbl" (non-profit-making organization).

- Valid Visa, health insurence and ID-card/passport are required.
- No consumption of meat, eggs, fish or intoxicants of any kind (alcohol, cigarettes)
- No noise after 10pm
- Respect for others and community life
- Respect for the work, the permaculture project and the rules in place
>>> Extras:
- We can pick you up at the train station of Barvaux.
- We are situated in the Belgium Ardennes. It's a region of extensive forests expanding from France to Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany.
- The community is a 48 hectares plot of land and includes a lot of forests, as well as beautiful promenades . Many possibilities for hiking and cycling around!
- The community hosts a lot of different activities including daily Indian traditional music meditation sessions, spiritual program, yoga and spiritual ceremonies. Every saturday, we go to a different city in Belgium and perform some music in the streets. There are more than 20 festivals (Holy festival, Krishna's birthday...) organised in a year. There are also other activities like football, volleyball and so on.
- There is a bakery, boutique, museum, library, restaurant and a stable with 3 beautiful cows (giving milk), a calf and 3 oxen.
- Shopping and any city life facilities are possible in one of the nearest city: Marche-en-Famenne, Durbuy or Barvaux (Durbuy is a historical and medieval beautiful city situated 10min drive away from us)

Even though the heavy snow meant there was not as much work to do as normal, she still helped where she could, and adapted to all the changes. This was a great experience, I loved working with Tibo and Hanna, they are great people and so nice to be around. working in the garden was fantastic and I learned a lot about growing vegetables. the lokation is beautiful, full with trees and rolling hills. I am looking forward to visiting again.

We had a nice time with Becca and Jacob. They were ready to do anything, and they did well! :) They adjusted easily to the schedule whenever there were changes. Besides the gardenwork they joined for other activities such as yoga and a soundbath. All in all we had a good time. Thank you both and see you another time!
