Hi all, my name is Lorie and I'm a pure nature and animal lover ☀️

I graduated as an electrical engineering, but realized it is outside, surrounded by nature and animals that I truly feel like I belong. I decided it was time to finally listen to my heart and commit to something I care deeply about.

I'm very sensitive to wildlife conservation, and hope to get many experiences in that field. I'd also be very interested in experimenting an "off-grid" way of living, as close to nature and respectful of the environment as possible.

I'm an authentic, simple person and I truly feel the urge to participate in something meaningful. I'm a hard worker, a passionate and dedicated person who's eager to learn new things. I'm very easy going, I love traveling and meeting people from different cultures :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I can't really say I have a particular skill so far, but I definitely have a good will and a strong desire to learn and to feel useful. I like being active and from past volunteering experiences I can say l'm a fast learner and can get very dedicated to a project I care about!

I've been volonteering at a dog shelter for years, which I truly love and has taught me a lot about dogs and how to handle stressful situations. I've practiced horse riding for years and have always been around animals. I have also volunteered at a sea turtle conservation center in Sri Lanka. I was also the spider monkey coordinator in a a sanctuary in the jungle in Bolivia and have really enjoyed having more responsabilities.

I speak French, English and Spanish (on a more intermediate level). I have some experience teaching, mostly math and science, but also english to children.

I'm autonomous and responsible and I am always willing to help with any task I can. I like cooking, and I'd really love to get better at gardening and doing DIY projects. I'm also very interested in renewable energies.
