  Description

  Hello, we are Angel and Vale. In 2016 we started our great project of having a sustainable house in San Carlos de Bariloche, in the heart of Argentine Patagonia. For the construction we use wood for the central structure and recycled materials for the filling of the walls, as well as mud and sand and clay plastering. The whole project is put together by us with the help of many friendly hands.
  
  Sadly, on July 20, 2019, a large tree fell on our house during a heavy snowstorm, completely destroying our dream. We lost everything; the house, the greenhouse, the pond... even our oldest dog who died buried in the ruins of the house.
  
  However, we are back on our feet. Little more than three years later and thanks to the tireless hands and hearts of the volunteers, today we are living again in our home. Our sadness turned into happiness. Since February 2022 we returned to inhabit our home. This dream is also the dream of the people who passed through here.
  
  
  At this moment we are calling last minute volunteers for the last days of February and the first week of March. The house is almost finished, just some tasks in the first floor.
  We will work on beautifying the gardens and the backyard. We reactivate the garden, the greenhouse, the compost system more intensively and, if time permits, lay the foundations for our future chicken coop.
  
  There is a lot of work to do abroad and we want to share with you this magical corner of Bariloche, away from the noise and intensity of the city center. Here you can find tranquility but also laughter and happiness. We hope that our proposal will be attractive to you.
  
  We offer you accommodation in the large rear property that we have but you must bring your own tent and sleeping bag.
  
  We will also give you the necessary supplies so that you can prepare breakfast, and at noon we will share lunches. They have a small country kitchen outside, with a refrigerator, electricity and water for cooking and washing dishes.
  
  We ask for 4 hours of work in exchange, with 4 days a week and 3 days totally free so that they can go out and explore the surroundings, go trekking or do mountain activities. We will value as we said before, the predisposition and the good vibes. We are a couple who love to learn about life stories, gastronomy and other things from the different places on this planet and share everything we know. Our hearts will always be open to receive you.
  
  An important detail is that we also have three pets waiting for your love. You will fall hopelessly in love with Gandalf, our dog, will marvel at the kingly bearing of Syrah, our cat, and the stylized beauty of Nairobi, our black cat. If you like animals, this is the place to volunteer.

  Hola, somos Angel y Vale. En 2016 iniciamos nuestro gran proyecto de tener una casa sustentable en San Carlos de Bariloche, en plena Patagonia argentina. Para la construcción usamos madera para la estructura central y materiales reciclados para el relleno de las paredes, así como barro y revoques de arena y arcilla. Todo el proyecto lo armamos nosotros con la ayuda de muchas manos amigas.
  
  Lamentablemente, el 20 de julio de 2019, un árbol de grandes dimensiones cayó sobre nuestra casa durante una intensa tormenta de nieve, destruyendo nuestro sueño por completo. Perdimos todo; la casa, el invernadero, el estanque...hasta nuestra perra más viejita que murió sepultada entre las ruinas de la casa.
  
  Sin embargo estamos nuevamente en pie. Poco más de tres años después y gracias a las manos incansables y los corazones solidarios de las personas voluntarias hoy estamos viviendo nuevamente en nuestro hogar. Nuestra tristeza se transformó en felicidad. Desde febrero de 2022 volvimos a habitar nuestro hogar. Este sueño es también el sueño de las personas que pasaron por aquí.
  
  Para esta temporada 2023 tenemos menos trabajo para hacer, pues la casa está prácticamente terminada, apenas faltan terminar dos paredes exteriores. Es por eso que les invitamos a compartir la experiencia de venir a nuestro hogar. Las tareas que vamos a realizar se centrarán en la segunda mitad del mes de Enero y todo el mes de Febrero de 2023. Trabajaremos en embellecer los jardines y el patio. Activaremos más intensamente la huerta, el invernadero, el sistema de compost y si el tiempo lo permita, sentar las bases para nuestro futuro gallinero.
  
  Hay mucho trabajo para hacer en el exterior y queremos compartir con ustedes este mágico rinconcito en Bariloche, alejado del ruido y de la intensidad del centro de la ciudad. Aquí podrán encontrar tranquilidad pero también risas y felicidad. Esperamos que nuestra propuesta les resulte atractiva.
  
  Les ofrecemos alojamiento en el gran predio trasero que tenemos pero deben traer su propia carpa y bolsa de dormir.
  También les daremos los insumos necesarios para que ustedes puedan prepararse el desayuno, y al mediodía compartiremos los almuerzos. Disponen de una cocina pequeña de campo en el exterior, con un refrigerador, luz eléctrica y agua para cocinar y lavar la loza.
  Pedimos 4 horas de trabajo a cambio, con 5 días a la semana y 2 días totalmente libres para que puedan salir a explorar los alrededores, hacer trekking o hacer actividades de montaña. Valoraremos como dijimos antes, la predisposición y las buenas vibras. Somos una pareja a la que le encanta conocer las historias de vida, la gastronomía y otras cosas de los diferentes lugares de este planeta y compartir todo lo que sabemos y conocemos. Nuestros corazones van a estar siempre abiertos para recibirles.
  
  Un detalle no menor es que también tenemos tres mascotas esperando por el cariño de ustedes. Se van a enamorar sin remedio de Gandalf, nuestro perro, se van a maravillar por el porte de rey de Syrah, nuestro gato y por la belleza estilizada de Nairobi, nuestra gata negra. Si les gustan los animales, este es el lugar para voluntariar.

  Vale has a degree in physics and works at the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development. Research on rational use of energy and energy efficiency.
  Angel is a teacher and studies the degree in letters. He also writes poetry.
  Both offer to exchange their personal knowledge in addition to knowledge in sustainable construction, use of recycled materials, artistic creations (mosaicism, painting, etc.) native gardening and vegetable garden.
  
  Vale es licenciada en física y trabaja en el Instituto de Energía y Desarrollo Sustentable. Investiga en uso racional de la energía y eficiencia energética.
  Angel es docente y estudia la licenciatura en letras. Además escribe poesía.
  Ambos ofrecen intercambiar sus conocimientos personales además del conocimiento en construcción sustentable, aprovechamiento de materiales reciclados, creaciones artísticas (mosaiquismo, pintura, etc) jardinería autóctona y huerta.

  Hébergement

  We offer space in the backyard to pitch tents. the landscape is magnificent and only the sound of the native forest can be heard, so what we also offer is peace and tranquility. There is an outdoor kitchen, with a stove powered by bottled gas, a refrigerator and a sink for washing dishes. We also offer crockery and some kitchen utensils. The shower and the sink for washing clothes are inside the house so they can be used, using a shift system. There is a dry toilet, or compost toilet in the camping area, for your convenience.
  
  Ofrecemos sitio en el patio trasero para poder montar carpas. El paisaje es magnífico y solo se oye el sonido del bosque nativo, por lo que también lo que ofrecemos es paz y tranquilidad. Existe una cocina exterior, con estufa alimentada a gas envasado, heladera y una pileta para lavar la vajilla. Ofrecemos asimismo vajilla y algunos utensilios de cocina. La ducha y la pileta para lavar ropa están dentro de la casa por lo que pueden usarse, usando un sistema de turnos.
  Existe un baño seco, o baño compost en la zona de campamento, para su mayor comodidad.
