I am Anton. A traveler and adventurer from Estonia, yet living across Europe for nearly a decade at the time of writing.

*Why am I on Workaway?*

I've been a Workaway user since 2014 and been on and off the platform ever since. The given platform has given me an opportunity to gain skills and competences I never imagined I would ever gain. I have always been an advocate for lifelong learning, and learning by doing, therefore, I am here to discover projects which help me to hone my skills and learn more, and more, and more! My main motivation is not 'visiting places'. I am very project-oriented and believe in a fair exchange, where I can contribute, and learn something by contributing. :)



*What kind of person am I?*

I am considered to be very calm, composed and laid-back individual, under any circumstances. No stress, no drama :) . A simple and comfortable person to have around.

I enjoy being in the nature, hiking, cycling. Physically fit and strong. Not interested in parties nor noisy places. Comfortable with my own company, but always better with a nice group around! :)

I have a Kindle for reading books and do mobile photography and simple editing projects for myself or social media.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've been lucky to get involved in variety of different types of work and cannot really point out a single particular skill. So, I'd go through of some experiences I've been through and perhaps there's something that might be relevant for the project You have? :)

**Serve The City Tallinn - Estonia** A board member at the NGO in my native Estonia. Leading and coordinating teams of volunteers. Establishing partnerships with social partners as Sõbra Käsi soup kitchen, Tallinn Pet Shelter, multiple orhenages and homeless centers across the capital.

**Samsung Estonia - Estonia**
Product consultant, mainly focusing on the Samsung Galaxy series. Sales and communication with potential buyers.

**Estonian Navy - Estonia**
Compulsory military service and love it. Got specialization as a machine gun operator. Among everything else, received excessive outdoors survival training, lifeguard training, bushcraft etc.

**La Maison des Bateleurs - Poitou-Charentes, France**
Participant at ESC and Le Service Civique programmes. Team lead for the groups of international work camps across France. As well, garden maintenance and stone renovation of 'chateau'. Living in a community setting.

**Vue de Chateau - Bressuire, France**
A brief stint at a family restaurant in France as a kitchen help and occasional table waiting. An opportunity to get some hospitality experience by helping a small local family business.

**Hotel Atlantica Holiday Village - Rhodes, Greece**
Kids entertainer/animator at a 5-star 'holiday village'. Leading activities for the kids aged 4-12, primarily. Establishing rapport between the parents and the hotel management. A seasonal job in a competitive touristic 5-star setting.

**Clubul Sportiv Experienta Multisport - Arad, Romania**
Participant at the ESC project. Promotion of cycling in the city of Arad through educational activities in Romanian schools, in collaboration with the local youth. Creating promotional content for the local sports events together with the sponsors of events & the Mayor of the city. Establishing mutually beneficial partnerships between CSEM and the local businesses. Working and living in international team setting and supporting a local non-profit organization, whom have a mission to popularize healthy lifestyle among the local population.

**PTG International Youth College - Ulfborg, Denmark**
Social work with socially vulnerable youth in Denmark & organiational work for educational activities aka Summer Theater & Tvind Olympics. Firewood production with chain saw & wood splitter. Living in a community in an international setting.

**DNS International Teacher Training College - Ulfborg, Denmark**
Social media management & promotional content creation for an alternative education center / notorious sect in Denmark. Photo-video editing. Designing newsletters and digital advertisements. 'Whistleblower' for selected Danish journalists.

**Conference Of Youth 12th Edition - Marrakech, Morocco**
At the parallel event of conference of parties, representing Tvind schoolcenter at an international conference focused on climate change initiatives. Networking with organisations from Europe and Africa.

**Yellow Chair Artists - Kostroma, Russia**
Decorative painting at the children's hospital in Russia, in collaboration with the local artist activists.

**The Missing Sock - Cambridge, England**
All-round help at the celebrations venue. Kitchen help & cleaning after events, repair, maintenance during the off-season.

**WIKID Farms - Castelo Branco, Portugal**
Leading the grazing-feeding routine for ca 100 Boer goats, repairing fences and attempting to train guard dogs.

**El Polagrino Hostel - Asturias, Spain**
Plastering.. a lot of plastering and window insulation at what was about to become a donation-based refuge for the Camino de Santiago pilgrims.

**CaLaCol cooperative - Barcelona, Spain**
Management, planting, harvesting at an ecological garden farming cooperative in Cataluna. Creating boxes for deliveries. Kilometer zero concept.

**Chateau Mortrame - Provins, France**
Landscaping and maintenance at a multi-use chateau in France. Natural stone building

**Punkt XII -Wurzburg, Germany**
Roofing, sheetrug installations, glasswool insulation works, cabling work, pouring and leveling concrete. Building and maintenance with the use of the powertools. A project which looked to transform a former horse stable to a yoga retreat center.

**Gee Vee Enterprises Ltd - Essex, England**
Greenhouse project with peppers by using the hydroponics method. A family initiative specializing in sustainable agriculture.

**Jupiter Artland - Edinburgh, Scotland**
Ground maintenance, renovation, painting. Creating and designing new garden beds & soil work. A project with the Scottish art donors who provide platform for the young artists.

**UISCE educational NGO - Enniskillen, Northen Ireland**
Social media management and content creation. Planning out the social media calendar and photo-video editing. Helping out at an Northern Irish NGO that seeks to promote peace in Irish historical context.

**Mutte Cultural - Figueres, Spain**
Event preparation during the season. Plastering, renovation & firewood production during the off-season. A co-living project with the group of well-known Iberian musicians.

**El Cielo De Mallora - Mallorca, Spain**
Animal care for horses, donkies, goats, hens. Occasional fence repairs and groundworks. A charity project at an animal sanctuary.

**BioArt Laboratories - Eindhoven, Netherlands**
Animal care. Mainly bunch of sheep and cows with way too many hens and roosters. Building & maintenance. A support role for a Dutch association which aims to combine science with art.

**Fejo Cider - Fejo, Denmark**
Some groundworks, but mainly bottling a local Danish apple cider. Supporting a small family business.

**Hammersly Okojord - Bornholm, Denmark**
Vegetable garden farming. Building polytunnels, harvesting. Establishing one of the pioneering garden farming cooperatives on Bornholm.

**Njord Kayak - Flam, Norway**
Kayak rentals guy & kayak/SUP instructor. Sales and interaction with international clients of all ages. A seasonal gig by the fjords.

**Alpenhotel Oberstdorf - Oberstdorf, Germany**
Dishwasher/kitchen help. A seasonal help at a 5-star hotel restaurant during the peak season.

**Downtown Palmela - Setubal, Portugal**
Reforestation project at freshly established association, which aims to reforest a national park damaged by the forest fires. Building and maintenance, mainly planting new trees.

**Rathcon - Co Wicklow, Ireland**
Christmas tree harvest. Primarily netting and palletising already cut Christmas trees bound to be sold at the markets in Ireland and the UK.

**The Lumberjack - Varmland, Sweden**
Kitchen porter. All-round kitchen help at a family style restaurant near Branaes ski resort.

**Naturcamping Am Ellbogensee - Mecklemburg, Germany**
Ground works, building, maintenance. The main project at the period of time is roofing and building a new washhouse from the scratch by aiming to use natural methods.

**Projektraum Drahnsdorf - Germany** Building structures with earth/clay (superadobe). Been privileged enough to take part in a hands-on workshop about earth building. As a team, we created a half-circled seating area around the now fireplace.

** Goscienec Kirowy - Zakopane, Poland** Kitchen assistant during the group hosting and housekeeping during the quiet period. A nature guesthouse which operates as an NGO to fund the local fire brigade.


And plenty of smaller projects across Europe.
