The hosting family
We both have a long background in teaching, artistic, literary and community projects. We love to discuss current affairs as much as being silly and having a laugh. We love dancing, singing and cooking around the fire pit.
English is the common language spoken. We also speak Italian.
The Area
Unique area as we have both seaside and mountain. Also famous for a long cycling path by the sea, we have bikes to use.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Liguria is a wonderful place, with a rich and interesting culture. The Maritime Alps are in the southwestern part of the Alps, and the area is famous for its glorious beaches, excellent weather and unique eco system. Hiking, kayaking, cycling, whale watching… we’ve got it all! We are very close to the Italian border, and roughly 1.5 hours from both Nice and Genova. There are many interesting and alternative villages in the area. You will have plenty of opportunity to exchange ideas about one planet living, European eco village networks, and creative cultural dissent.
We are a relaxed and sociable bunch. We expect you to do your share of work, and then have yourselves a good time. We are open to people of all nationalities and gender.Aide
We have recently moved into our property, a renovated rustico, set on 21,000 sq. metres of land, abundant in olive, fig and orange trees, plus dozens of baby fruit trees, vines, and aromatic herbs. In this first phase, we need help to maintain and clear the land, to renovate and build new structures. Our particular focus in the next months is dealing with erosion on the hill above the house, by repairing walls, flattening land and planting vetiver grass to hold the soil in place. It will be quite hard physical work, but very satisfying. A crash course in anti erosion and water management practices.
We are learning by experimenting with permaculture, no-dig and food forest planting.
Other needs are weeding, pruning, mulching, repairing drystone walls, laying paths and general maintenance. Artists and cultural collaborators are also welcome!Langues parlées

We have several places for you to stay.
1) A snug split-level building next to our house, equipped with bathroom, kitchen, electricity.
This would suit a couple or two friends.
2) A fully equipped small camper van, with electricity and kitchen area.
3) A secluded tent spot, for Summer visits.
4) A converted stable. This is a shared location, pretty basic, but with kitchen and space for 2/3 to sleep.Autres infos...

I was in Taggia for about three weeks on my way North. Saci and Anna are ver friendly, nice and funny.
The land and the work they are doing is very punkrock - or as Anna calls it: Madmax construction, and I especially enjoyed many opportunities to just figure stuff out on the go. I think this space is great for… read more

Annalisa and Saci are very considerate, helpful, friendly and understanding women. They are always ready to help you solve any problems both personal and work-related. They’re great supervisors and always give decent feedback on the work done. Besides, they’re patient teachers on permaculture, thoroughly explaining things. Also, they’re… read more
