we are brother and sister. I (Benjamin) am currently travelling solo in Peru and planning to meet and travel with my sister (Erin) in may in Chile to volunteer and travel together for a while.

Description

Hello, my name is Benjamin Theaker I am 24 years old from England. I have been travelling south america for 4 months now and loving every moment of it (Hiking, surfing, volunteering, climbing, dancing, socialising).

My volunteering in SouthAmerica include:
- 1 month working on a permaculture project in the North of Colombia
- 1 month working on a ranch in the east of Colombia with some cowboys
- 1 year social work in Cebu Phillipines

My hobbies include:
- Hiking
- Dancing
- Cooking and of course eating
- Water sports
- Socialising

My work experinces include:
- 5 years of hospitality in 5* boutique hotels
- 2 Years of landscape gardening
- 1 year of social work volunteering in Cebu Phillipines
- 6 months of woodwork building climbing frames

I am affable and hard working and also enjoy socialising and connecting with others. I love people and all animals. I am beyond exited for my next adventure and journey where ever it may take me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Hi my name is Erin I am 22 years old from the United Kingdom, I am planning on joining my brother Benjamin who is currently out there soon :)) I’m a hardworking, compassionate, and adaptable person who loves helping others and embracing new experiences. I have a deep passion for volunteering, traveling, and making meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds.

I’ve had the privilege of volunteering in diverse settings, including an off-grid permaculture project in Portugal and a permaculture farm in Transylvania, Romania. These experiences have given me hands-on knowledge of sustainable living, organic gardening, and eco-friendly practices.

I also have experience looking after children while volunteering and currently work as a carer in a nursing home, where I provide compassionate support, personal care, and companionship. This role has strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to care for people from all walks of life.

I’m First Aid and CPR trained, ensuring I can provide help in emergency situations.

Skills & Experience
Permaculture & Sustainable Living – Hands-on experience with organic gardening, composting, and eco-friendly practices in Portugal and Romania.
Childcare – Experience looking after children in a volunteer setting, ensuring they are engaged, safe, and supported.
Elderly & Disability Care – Over two years of experience as a carer in a nursing home, providing compassionate support, personal care, and companionship.
General Assistance – Comfortable with housekeeping, cleaning, organizing, and general maintenance tasks.
Teaching & Language Exchange – Passionate about helping others learn, whether through teaching English, tutoring, or cultural exchange.
Outdoor & Physical Work – Experience with farming, gardening, DIY projects, and off-grid living.
Animal Care – Enjoys working with animals, helping with feeding, grooming, and general care.
