  Description

  Our lifestyle is very simple and fully off-grid, with minimal infrastructure. Daily life involves practical, hands-on work such as helping with outside building projects, land and general maintenance, setting up and maintaining our work shed, moving materials, and supporting everyday systems like rainwater collection and solar power. This experience suits people who are comfortable with basic living, happy to get their hands dirty, and able to contribute to physical, practical tasks. what we offer is a genuine, lived experience of off-grid life. You’ll be learning alongside us as we continue to develop the land.
  
  Alongside the work, we value slowing down and being present with yogic meditation practices, which we’re happy to share with those who are interested. Participation is always optional.
  
  We work together for around four hours each day, share simple vegetarian meals. There are very few conveniences nearby, so this placement is best suited to people who enjoy being in the wilderness, living simply, and maintaining a positive outlook.

  Workawayers experience off-grid life, practical building, and a slower pace, alongside open conversations with a very multicultural family, shared meals, and optional practices like meditation.

  Aide

  The work may include painting, general handy work, gardening, and practical building tasks. You’ll be involved in helping us shape the land, learning how to create off-grid systems and supporting the building of simple dwellings. This is part of crafting the landscape itself, and we aim for it to be deeply rewarding.
  In exchange for 16-20 hours per week, you will receive free basic off-grid accommodation and food, along with hands-on learning and practical experience. Any experience with children would be an added bonus :)

  Workawayers stay in a secure, private off-grid cabin for single occupancy, located away from the main house. The cabin includes a bed and mattress, with basic solar power for lighting.
  
  Facilities are outdoors and rustic, including an outdoor shower and compost toilet. This setup is suited to someone comfortable with basic facilities and spending lots of time outdoors.
  
  One cooked meal is provided each day. There is also a simple outdoor camping-style setup available for preparing additional food.

  Our household follows a simple, mindful way of living. We eat vegetarian food, and we don’t smoke or drink alcohol on the property. We also live in a way that respects all living beings, so this is not a place for hunting or killing animals.

  Wi-Fi is limited and works best during daylight hours when we have the most solar power. Evenings are generally quiet and offline. This setup can suit digital nomads with flexible schedules who are comfortable planning work around daylight and power availability.

  We have plenty of space for campers or motorhomes, set within hectares of quiet pine forest. Parking is secluded and peaceful, offering a very private experience immersed in nature. Facilities are simple and shared with the main off-grid setup, and this suits people who enjoy remote, low-impact living.
