Description
Hey! Welcome to my page. My name is Alex. I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia but have been living in beautiful Austria for 18 months or so now.
I am currently living in Tyrol (until mid April, 2025). I have been working here as an Au Pair for a very busy family who run several hotels during the winter months. I cared for two wonderful girls aged 6 & 12 and have had a lot of fun here.
I enjoy my work here but the winter is coming to an end and so is my work. I would like to find a Workaway for 4-6 weeks throughout May and June. Ideally in Germany or Austria as I would like to keep improving my German (& I have many friends scattered all over Germany and Austria).
I used Workaway for the first time in the summer of 2023 in Austria. I worked in a small town near Salzburg and thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Since then I have worked two winter seasons in Austria (not through Workaway).

I am interested in practicing my German with you! I have completed an A1 examination and have just recently completed an A2 course. My biggest weakness is definitely speaking so I would appreciate any time we can practice a little speaking!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Work / Study:
- I am a qualified personal trainer and have been working in the industry for 6 years. More specifically, I have experience working with pre and post natal women (I absolutely love my job!)
-Before I left Australia I also picked up a casual job as a Support Worker for elderly people. I assisted them with personal care, shopping, cooking and companionship.
- I have an associate degree in Science (Exercise and Sport). But am actually looking to return to studying.
In Austria:
- I have been working with kids for the last two winter seasons. Most recently I was working as an Au-Pair for a busy family who run 4 hotels in Tyrol in Austria. This has been a great experience and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know their two children (as well as a little sneak peak at the behind the scenes in hotel management and tourism etc!)
