Description
We are Elena, Giovanni and have a 11 years old daughter Yi Lan. We live in a beautiful countryhouse, built in the 1600s that we renovated 23 years ago, located at the foot of Monferrato, in Capriglio, 45 minutes from Turin. We have three outdoor cats and four sheeps.
The home is big and comfortable, with the bedrooms on the second floor, kitchen, living room and library on the main floor. There is a big garden and a small vegetable garden. In front of the house, in the old stable, there is a pottery studio.
We are looking for people who are seriously interested in sharing family life and that help us both in routine home and garden help (like setting the table, helping to cook, and speaking English or Franch ). Occasionally there will be some more help that we will need help with on the property.

Our country and its surroundings have the highest concentration of Romanesque parish churches in northern Italy. I will be happy to teach you everything I know in the kitchen. If you wish, I will teach you about pottery, modeling, and wheel throwing. This for me is a small extra exchange compared to the workaway one, so in exchange I will ask you for some additional work for the tidying up of the studio.
Many of our neighbors and friends have interesting activities such as organic farming and cultural associations.

Aide
We would like assistance with daily house activities, such as washing dishes, helping with cooking, watering plants, helping tidy up games before dinner, and the opportunity to speak English or French. ... We would all like to practice English and Yi Lan is also interested in French and would like to learn some Chinese.
There are also some more demanding jobs scheduled for this spring and summer, such as finishing tidying up the porch, creating the music room in the attic and reorganizing the ceramics studio. On some weekends we will finish the projects that takes the longest to do. For this reason, if you agree, we will ask you to help more hours at the weekend, but then you will have the whole week free. With this new series of studies and his sporting commitments, Yi Lan spends less and less time at home during the week and I work part time from Monday to Wednesday, so the days we would like more your help are from Thursday to Sunday. however, family organization is never so rigid and plans can change from week to week depending on the situation.

Hébergement
You will have at your disposal a room and a private bathroom, you must keep it clean and in a nice . It is not possible to smoke inside the house, and in general we prefer people who are not smokers and protect Yi Lan from unhealthy behaviors. We would be happy to share meals together, hoping you will like to spend some time with us. We do not eat fish due to allergies. vegetarians and vegans are welcome and will always find fresh fruit and vegetables in our house.

A bicycle is available to reach the nearest towns and to visit the beautiful countryside. By bike, you can reach the train station that will give you access to Turin and beyond. In the neighboring towns, there is no lack of moments of leisure and culture, such as the Palio of Asti, or the most famous museums of Turin, such as the Egyptian Museum, Palazzo Madama and the Cinema Museum. Piedmont is also famous for its food and wine culture. The home is situated minutes from Langhe wine country and a little over an hour from the Italian Alps. Often without straying too far from home, there are numerous fairs and festivals in neighboring towns.
