Martu y Papo se quedaron en casa durante 10 días y fue un gusto recibirlos. Es gente muy agradable, tranquila, y estan llenos de historias de viajes. Son muy responsables y tienen buenas iniciativas, sin mencionar lo expertos que son en la cocina! Les dejamos a cargo la finca unos días, lo entendieron todo muy rapido y su ayuda fue perfecta. Chicos acá siempre bienvenidos cuando quieran volver, un abrazo.

My stay with Eugenio in Agrigento was truly a wonderful and memorable experience. From the very beginning, he made me feel warmly welcomed and comfortable, creating an atmosphere that felt more like staying with a friend than simply being a guest. He is kind, respectful, and always ready to help with anything, which made my time there even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated the opportunity to help him with learning Russian. Our lessons were relaxed, interesting, and filled with positive energy, and it was great to see his enthusiasm and progress. It felt like a genuine cultural exchange rather than just a task, and I truly valued those moments. The overall experience was not only pleasant but also meaningful, as we shared conversations, ideas, and a bit of our cultures. I felt completely at home during my stay, and I would highly recommend him as a host to anyone looking for a warm, friendly, and enriching experience.I would gladly return again.🤗✨🍀

Kristin and Marc are a retired american couple who are renovating an old portuguese Farm to make it nice and comfy. We spend 2 weeks helping out at their farm and we really enjoyed our stay. The place we stayed is a big house divided into two apartments, so we had a whole apartment for us, with two bedrooms a large kitchen and a nice bathroom. We really enjoyed cooking and having breakfast on the terrace. We also enjoyed most of the work Kristin gave us. On the first days we gave her garden a fresh start for spring, we pulled weeds, put soil and manure onto the vegetable beds and planted the new plants. Sometimes we helped Kristin glazing pottery pieces and we also got the chance to try our best at pottering a dog and cat for plant fair, that was fun! Lastly we helped her in the front garden, that was kinda hard work. On our free days we visited various places and did a boat tour, it was fun to get to know each other and hear some stories of our pasts. When we were spending time on our own we always used uber to get to other places. The only thing we were a bit sad about, was the comunication about the groceries, that we mostly paid on our own, we only did a big grocery shopping on the first day. All in all it was a pleasure to stay with Kristin and Marc, we recommend!!

Tener a Luka en casa ha sido una experiéncia increible! Es un chico muy correcto, con un sentido del saber estar excepcional. Muy culto, educado y divertido.Ha participado de las actividades en familia en todo momento, siendo participativo y activo de manera positiva. En todo momento ha sabido comunicarse con nuestros hijos y hacerlos participes de juegos y actividades en inglés. Hemos hecho muchas actividades en familia ha sido un placer hacerlas con él. Nos ha enseñado la cultura y gastronomia alemana y nosotros la catalana. Hemos hecho intercanvio de conocimientos y hemos hecho un nuevo amigo. Siempre puede volver a nuestra casa! Getting to know edward was a great experience, he is a kind, interesting and very smart man, he helped me fix some things in my house, now the back bathroom works perfect, i have new lights that werent working, and he helped to fix an issue that was flooding my outside hall. He was very polite and clean and we had some interesting conversations. we had another project planned but due to our budget we werent able to do it, but he is always welcome to come back in the future ! Thank you for everything and good luck in your next travels !!

Monica was an incredible addition to our language center. She worked with both kids and adults, and everyone loved her energy. She is an excellent English teacher, patient, clear, and very dedicated. Monica is also kind, responsible, and always willing to help with anything needed. 🙏🙏 We truly appreciated her positive attitude and the care she put into every task. Any host would be lucky to have her!

We had such a wonderful time with Davina, Harry, Balian, Noah and all the animals! We (my husband, 4 year old son and me) stayed here for one week and felt so welcome. The family was really relaxed and thankfull for our help in and around the house. We stayed in a nice guesthouse and our son really liked the swimmingpool. It was our first workaway-experience and we are so glad and thankfull that we stayed with this lovely family!!

My experience here has been amazing!! A very friendly, open minded and helpful staff. Nice working ambiance. A good schedule and nice students. The accommodation was very comfortable. Meals were incredible. An absolutely recommendable host.

Marlies and Mark stayed with us for just one week with their son, who is so friendly and outgoing. But during that week , they provided us with active and energetic support. If you have the chance to get a foot reflexology massage from Marlies, you should definitely take it—Marlies truly has magical hands. And at the same time, she anticipates what needs to be done without being asked and isn’t above helping with any kind of task. Mark not only cooks great meals but is also skilled with heavy equipment, which he uses to reliably and independently complete the tasks as discussed. Thanks to Mark, we also have a great swing now in one of the big trees. We had a wonderful time together and would definitely host the three of them again.

La mia esperienza con Federico è stata fantastica! Un luogo meraviglioso immerso nella natura, perfetto per staccare e vivere a contatto con l’ambiente. Abbiamo lavorato su progetti legati alle mie competenze, come il marketing e lo yoga, ma ho avuto anche l’opportunità di sperimentare attività completamente nuove per me, come la potatura degli ulivi e la cura del giardino. Nonostante la mia mancanza di esperienza in questi ambiti, Federico è stato sempre estremamente paziente e disponibile, spiegandomi tutto in modo chiaro e facendomi sentire a mio agio. Ho davvero apprezzato ogni momento del mio soggiorno e porto con me un ricordo bellissimo di questa esperienza. Consiglio vivamente questo posto a chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza autentica e arricchente!

Sontje and Kevin are very friendly guests, they clean after themselves, communicate openly and are easygoing. Sontje made two really beautiful murals for us while teaching our kids in a natural way more about colors and painting. Kevin helped us also with painting walls (some of them are quite high) in different rooms and cooked delicious food for up to 9 people. They showed us their favorite games and created great game nights that way. We would host them anytime again and recommend hosting them.

Tnx a lot Kiri, I had a great time staying with you. It was my first workaway experience and you were the perfect host! Funny/kind hearted/open minded/great chef. There was always opportunity for me to go out on my own if I felt like doing so. I had space, and the room was also very nice. Loved the trip to Cambridge together and the open water swimming in march;) I even joined a salsa dancing class, who would have thought that! I know it wasn’t the best timing for you and I hope my presence contributed. To have more plans than are feasible, thats a good thing right! All the best for you both, take care, Glen

Staying with Sandra and Jared was an amazing first Workaway Experience ! Even though they're always busy, they took the time to talk with me and spend great evenings or moments together. Since Jared was a Chef, the food was amazing and the house is really comfortable for the ones who are picky. Their kids are hyperactive but adorable ! I sincerely think I couldn't have had a better First Workaway Experience. Thank you to both of you for your hospitality and for sharing great moments together. I'll let you know when I pass by Charlestown ! 😁

I had a truly wonderful time staying with Ezio, Valeria and little Elia. From the very first moment, I felt warmly welcomed into their family and the community around them. It didn’t take long until this place started to feel like home, especially my cozy room with the beautiful ceiling fresco that I absolutely loved. The tasks were exactly as described in their profile, with no surprises. Yet every day looked a little different, bringing new opportunities to help and learn. I really appreciated being part of their community and the "Start Working" association in Pontremoli. There were so many inspiring events to join, from meditations and concerts to small gatherings at the café near the co-working space. Everyone I met was open, kind and full of positive energy; it truly felt like a special group of people and there was always laughter around. Some of my highlights were the Saturday market trips and especially the Slow Food Market, where I got to discover delicious local dishes and learn more about regional flavors and traditions. On my day off, I went hiking along the Cinque Terre which was absolutely breathtaking. Ezio and Valeria are wonderful hosts who are building something new and meaningful with great courage and passion. I also really enjoyed spending time with their little son Elia. His cheerful energy filled the house with joy, and he even taught me my very first words in Italian. Thank you so much for everything, for your kindness, the inspiring conversations and the sense of belonging you created. I’m sure our paths will cross again one day. I truly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a welcoming place surrounded by nature!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Kayla and Kurnia in Malang. They welcomed us with so much warmth and kindness that we immediately felt like we were visiting relatives rather than staying with hosts. They made us feel truly at home and included us in their daily life in such a genuine and caring way. The experiences we had while visiting the schools and working on the different projects were unforgettable. Beyond the work itself which didn't really felt like work and more like freetime group activities, we are deeply grateful for all the cultural exchange, conversations, laughter, and memories we shared together. The generosity and hospitality of the family were truly special, and they created an environment where we felt honestly supported and appreciated. This experience meant so much to us that we are certain we will come back to visit them—and one day we will tell our children about the incredible time we had here. Even though we went to Gilli, Lombok and Bali as well Malang was our number one highlight. Thank you for everything. We will always remember our time in Malang with great gratitude and affection. First of all, I'm grateful to have this 2 young boys here. They are so fun, cheerful, and very positive to be with. All three of my daughters likes them a lot, they bring such happiness to us. My eldest daughter feels like she have older brothers, they go together a lot to various places such as the haunted house, beach, museums, and malls. It's so funny how they reacts when people are very excited to know them at schools, or when we just walk by. They're like a famous star here and i think they enjoy it too >-

This was my first time volunteering, and Pimmy and Roberto were absolutely wonderful to me. Instead of just sightseeing, being able to cook dinner and enjoy Spanish ham with them every day was such a highlight! I felt truly immersed in Spanish life, even though they aren’t a typical Spanish family—hearing four different languages mixed together daily was so much fun! The work felt natural, like taking care of my own home, and I treated their house with that same care. They were so kind to praise my hard work. I also loved teaching Chinese to Victor and Oscar. These two teenagers are hilarious—it was great seeing them handle so many chores with such order, while still keeping their playful boyish energy. They even helped me with Chinese translations, which was so sweet. And little Luis is just adorable; I wanted to give him a hug every single day! I highly recommend other volunteers to join this 'United Nations' family. You will gain so much from the experience. They also fully supported my travel plans, giving me great advice and introducing me to BlaBlaCar, which made my trips so smooth. Thank you again!

Mayu is a kind, considerate young lady who was a pleasure to host. Our week was very enjoyable and a true cultural exchange. We learnt many things about Japan and Mayu was very interested in Australia culture and language. She is keen to improve her English language skills and learnt many new words while staying with us. We were able to communicate very well and enjoyed our time with her. She was helpful and we achieved many jobs. She was always very polite and asking if she can help. I would recommend Mayu without hesitation,

We stayed for two weeks in March, had a wonderful time in Siquijor and got a great introduction to permaculture in a tropical climate! Learned so much from Jackie and Julia on transplanting seedlings, to tilling the soil for a whole plant bed, plant identification of local plants (okra, kalabasa, mustasa), collecting/conserving water use with rainwater collection and greywater systems, building a fire to cook a vegetarian meal on a "rocket stove", vermicomposting from cow manure and worms, and so much more. We miss staying at Atong Baol already. The peace in their mountain area, comfy hammocks in the living space, Lupia, LC and Talong (two dogs and a cat) scurrying around asking for rubs and the fulfilling work in nature. J+J were crystal clear about the daily tasks, had good mix of hands-on instruction/feedback and just trusting the volunteers to do a good job. The 4-hour workdays, 5-days/week was a good set-up that allowed Izzy and I the time and energy to still travel around the island to beaches, waterfalls, mountain hikes, cafes throughout the duration of our stay. J+J provide their volunteers lots of great recommendations of hidden gems all over Siquijor. We would love to come back again and see how their farm grows!

Andrea and Chandra will always have a place in my heart. Andrea is a constant, loving presence; Chandra is vibrant, lively, and full of inspiration. It is a magical place, and being there makes you feel like part of a family. For me, it was a space to reconnect with myself and others, and to commit to daily activities. It’s also a space to explore one’s talents and learn new things. It is completely surrounded by nature, yet nestled at the foot of a typical Tuscan Maremma village and close to the sea as well. For me, it was an unforgettable experience. Grazie di cuore!
