  Description

  Hello, We are a retired couple with an old farm in need of restoration. We have done up the house and have a 2 bedroom apartment for family and friends . It has a fully remodeled kitchen and bathroom with all new appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, a full dining area and separate lounge.
  We live 2km to the closest town that has wonderful restaurants and cultural events. 20 minutes to Faro and Olhao where you can go to the beaches in the Ria Formosa. There is a bus stop at the end of our short road.

  We love meeting new people and like to share our life adventures and would love to hear yours. We speak English and a little Portuguese and would love to practice with you. I am a ceramic artist and can teach you about making pottery here in the studio.

  We have lots of small tasks that need to be done for example, painting the patched area on the garage, organizing the tool area, pulling weeds in and around the garden . sanding and painting the front door, repairing the old chicken house so we can get some chickens : )

  Hébergement

  2 bedroom house with fully remodeled kitchen and bathroom, new appliances including washing machine. Large dining area and separate lounge area. Beautiful views of the valley. There is a cafe and lunch restaurant very close and 2km to town with grocery stores, restaurants, cultural events.
  
  We prefer 2 stay at a time whether a couple or friends. It makes the tasks easier and they you have someone to go exploring with.
  
  2 week stays preferable and we ask that you provide your own food .
  
  Guests are responsible for preparing their own meals during the work exchange. I provide a simple, basic pantry with essentials (such as staples like rice, pasta, oil, and spices), and guests are expected to supplement this with any additional ingredients or specific foods they would like.
  
  We expect our home to be treated with respect. We have spent a lot of time and effort on remodeling it and want to keep it in good condition.
  
  Sorry NO SMOKING or VAPING ALLOWED ON OUR PROPERTY.

  We are very flexible in when the help is done, 2 days of help all day and the rest of the week off or 3-4 hours a day. Some of the jobs are labor intensive and some are easy and can be completed quickly.

  Skittles (17 ans)

  Skittles is a toy poodle, she is 17 years old. She competed in canine agility from age 4-10 and retired as a masters champion in both standard and jumpers categories. Now she just manages the house.
