  Description

  We live surrounded by trees here, and we love it. We make the most of the area we live in, we have wildlife that visits, my son has a mtb track here on our property, we have a vege patch, chickens and enjoy the slow pace of life when we’re here at home.
  
  Now that you have a little idea of our place…we like to welcome guests into our home and our family life, we’d of course share meals, laughs, board games, other little adventures away if it suits, and equally leave you to your own time.
  
  We always have stuff that needs doing around the place, both indoor paperwork type stuff, organising tasks, stuff that needs fixing, and odd jobs outside too.
  
  I’m self employed, I enjoy trail running and love being a parent…I get to be a kid sometimes too, who doesn’t love that?! My son is 14yo, a legend of a human, he enjoys mtb riding, fishing, hanging with mates and some ps4 time.
  
  We live in Clear Mountain in Brisbane, about 35min drive from the city, and have 5 acres here. 8mins to the best beer garden on the northside of Bris, I don’t drink much, but enjoy a social drink
  
  We don’t have public transport to our home, but we’re about 5mins from the nearest bus stop (or 15mins to the train station) and I can drop guests there easily if you need as I work from home often.
  
  We’re fairly active, and enjoy getting out, visiting friends, family, camping, most things outdoors yet happy hangout at home too.

  We’ve had travellers stay here over the last few years, visitors from mainland Europe, South America, Asia, North America and the UK. We’ve shared meals and our life here in Brisbane. We’ve shared trips to the beach, mountain hikes, catch-ups with my friends, even camping together. We hope to continue this fun and these experiences.

  Aide

  We always have odd tasks to do, from inside the home such as organising stuff for me, paperwork tasks I’ve not gotten to, helping fix stuff around the home, some cleaning, or outside tasks such as little projects in the garden, I need chicken nest boxes made (simple ones), gardening, weeding the veggie patch, collecting firewood, cleaning, feeding the chickens. Theres a mix, and happy to chat.

  We have a bedroom for guests, and a shared bathroom and facilities. We can either share meals, or we can provide food/ingredients to make your own food for 3 meals a day. Let us know if you have expectations here.
