    Description

    Hello Sunshines!!

We are Jordi & Sara, a young couple living with dogs and cats in a small farm, while managing a small non-profit collective located close to Alessandria Italy.

Last year, part of the farmhouse collapsed. Since then, we’ve been working to rebuild it — not just as a physical space, but as a shared place for community, creativity and alternative education.

We are now looking for people who would like to join us in this process.

    ⸻ What we are doing ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

    • Rebuilding and fixing parts of the farmhouse
    • Creating covered and accessible spaces for activities
    • Developing a community-based skate and cultural space
    • Running (and reactivating) workshops: skate, art, movement, education

    ⸻ What you can help with ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

We are especially happy to host people interested in:
    • DIY
    • Woodwork, recycling materials, creative building
    • Gardening and outdoor maintenance
    • Art, mural, graffiti, community projects
    • Working with kids or supporting workshops

REMEMBER: You don’t need to be an expert — motivation and openness matter more.

    ⸻ What we offer ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

    • Accommodation at the
    • Shared meals (we usually cook together)
    • A collective, informal and international environment
    • Space to propose your own ideas, workshops or projects
    • A real experience of living and building something together

    ⸻ Important to know ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

We are a small non-profit, not a business.
This is a simple, collective lifestyle — sometimes a bit rough, always collaborative.

    ⸻ Why this project ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

We are rebuilding a space for:
freedom, encounter, creativity and mutual learning.

If you’re looking for a polished volunteering experience, this might not be the right place.
If you want to get your hands dirty and be part of something real, you are very welcome.

    ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

Feel free to write us with a bit about yourself, your skills (or curiosities), and when you’d like to come.

See you at the farm 🌱

    ⸻ What we share & learn together ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

Life is based on shared time and collective experience.
Workawayers become part of the daily rhythm: cooking together, eating around the same table, spending evenings outside, sharing music, stories and ideas.

We often organise informal social moments — small gatherings, jam sessions, skate sessions, open workshops or community days — where local people, friends and travellers meet. It’s not a structured “program”, but something that grows naturally from who is present.

We can share practical and creative skills connected to our daily work:
    • basics of DIY building and working with recycled materials
    • organising community-based cultural activities
    • skate as a tool for education and inclusion
    • facilitation of workshops and informal learning spaces
    • experience in running a small non-profit and grassroots projects

⸻ More than formal teaching, it’s about learning by doing, together.

Hosting people from different backgrounds is an essential part of the project. We are interested in exchanging perspectives, practices and ways of living. This place grows through the people who pass by — every contribution leaves a trace.

Jordi and I are two young artist who love to philosophy about the world, to dance reggae roots tunes, relax round the campfire and play each kind of game.

If we sound like your favorite song please get in touch!

    ⸻ What you can help with ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

We are especially happy to host volunteers who are interested in hands-on, creative, and community-based activities. There are many different ways to contribute, depending on your interests, skills, and experience:

    • DIY projects, and general maintenance – helping with small building tasks, repairs, improvements, painting, and practical work around the space.
    • Woodworking and creative building – creating furniture, structures, decorations, or useful objects using reclaimed, recycled, or natural materials.
    • Recycling and upcycling projects – giving new life to old materials through creative reuse, sustainability initiatives, and collaborative building projects.
    • Gardening, caring for plants, vegetable gardens, green areas, paths, and outdoor communal spaces.
    • Artistic and cultural projects – contributing to murals, graffiti art, installations, creative workshops, or other community art initiatives that help make the space vibrant and welcoming.
    • Working with children and supporting educational activities – assisting with workshops, games, creative activities, and community events designed for young people and families.
    • Community support and event preparation – helping organize shared spaces, set up activities, and contribute to the daily life of the project.

You do not need to be an expert in any of these areas. We value enthusiasm, willingness to learn, creativity, and a positive attitude much more than previous experience. Whether you already have practical skills or simply want to learn something new while contributing to a meaningful community project, you are very welcome.

    ⸻ Accommodation & food ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

Workawayers will stay in shared rooms inside the farmhouse.
We also have a large green area where it’s possible to camp — we can provide space for tents, and basic facilities.

There is access to a shower, toilet and a shared kitchen.

Food is an important part of our daily life: we usually cook and eat together, sharing tasks and moments around meals. We aim to keep it simple, collective and flexible, depending on who is present and the rhythm of the farm.

    ⸻ Location & surroundings ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

It is located in San Giuliano Nuovo, a small town in the province of Alessandria, in northern Italy.

The area is quiet and rural, but still well connected: there is a train station about a 15-minute walk from the farm. From there, you can easily reach:
    • Milan in around 1 hour
    • Turin in about 1 hour and 30 minutes
    • Genoa in about 1 hour and 30 minutes

This makes it possible to explore different environments during your time off — from bigger cities to the sea or the mountains.

Closer to the farm, you can enjoy a slower rhythm: small local restaurants, simple traditional food, and everyday life in a small Italian town.
